    Hello Everyone,

I'm new here to the world of Razer, I'm really liking the "vibe" of the brand and community.

I have a question to ask owners of the Razer Blade Stealth. I am currently looking to purchase a new ultrabook and the Stealth seems to be exactly what I'm looking for:
    -moving away from the macbook
    -cool design and functionality
-decent power for my use : web, ms office, photo editing (i'm not a heavy gamer).

However, it would be very helpful to get some insight from stealth owners as simply put there are some real horror stories on Amazon, and even on this forum, in terms of the issues that owners have encountered (loud fan noise, computer blacking out, charger not working, processing times slow for no reason etc...). I still want to "believe" that this is a good machine, hence I'm posting here, but unfortunately for Razer there is huge doubt...
Have I missed something? Has there been a new 2017 version of the stealth released that fixes all these bugs and issues?

    Any feedback most appreciated!
    thanks
    Z

I have the Blade Stealth with the Kaby Lake processor, 16 gigs of ram, 512 gb ssd, and the 1440p touchscreen. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. I have had absolutely no issues with mine so far, aside from like 3 times in the 3 or 4 months I have had it that it bluescreened randomly, but then it instantly started back up, and that hasn't happened in a couple months either.

Thanks for the update @hsaki I the Uk it seems only the UHD versions are available.

    Hi Destrok,

Thanks for your feedback. It's refreshing to hear some positive user experiences on the RBS.

I guess the only thing that would really annoy me is the fans being too loud. I have read that simple tasks such as installing slack can get the fans to kick up a proper fuss, what is your experience with this?

    Thanks

So I have almost never experienced this, however @Vaypron seems to have as we were discussing it while I was setting mine up. Occasionally I hear a bit of a whine, but it isn't true coil whine, the popular theory is that it is actually electric noise from the SSD, I didn't know SSDs could make noise but apparently they can, but it is very minimal, you only hear it if you're trying to or its dead quiet. Granted, 90% of the time I use my RBS in a coffee shop with earbuds in, however, in my quiet moments surfing insider and watching youtube on my couch, I almost never hear a single sound from my RBS. the only times the fans have been loud for me was a couple times on startup after an update. My RBS is typically very very very quiet.

I did experience both coil whine and loud fannoise, but both were fixed with the bios update Razer released some weeks back :)

To my knowledge all the new blades already come with that bios update. If your blade (stealth) got that problems, the tool to update to the newest bios can be found here(select your device and you should find every important information).

@Destrok and @Vaypron - thanks for the valuable feedback, feel somewhat reassured on my choice for the stealth. Might get in touch after purchase for some tips and tricks but looking forward to the new machine!
    cheers
