So i have some razer products(See List bellow). And was wondering when my product will be supported on the new and shinny software synapse 3 "Beta", so i contacted customer support. I was just asking when my devices will be supported since its been out for almost 2 years and i got my current products a year and a half ago. So not really a crazy idea devices to support the newest software. But here is the email i got back:

Which means razer made a new software that has potential of not being backwards compatible to any of their previous products. and that mean right now there is no headset that will be supported for razer synapse 3... rip headphone users. I have spent alot of money on razer products and if this is the support i get im not giving them anther dime.

Break down of how much ive spent:?
    1. Deathadder Chroma ($69.99)
    2. Blackwidow Chroma ($169.99)
    3. Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 ($99.99)
Current set up cost total : $ 339.97 (Not including tax)

    Previously Bought:
    1. Blackwidow 2013 ($129.99)
    2. Deathadder Elite 2014 ($65.99)
    3. Kraken 7.1 V1 ($99.99)
    4. Naga epic ($112.99)
Previously bought cost total: $ 408.96 (Not including tax)
Total spent on razor products: $748.93
Total Supported product on new software:1
Total Possibly supported products in future: 2

Money that will be spent on Future razer products: $0.00

So they make a headset and its not compatible with their own software? what were they thinking? Honestly I do plan on switching away from razer headsets due to the audio quality.

It may be shiny and new, but it's also buggy, freezy, crashy, and unreliable. If I were you, I'd count my blessings that I'm not forced to use beta software to run the lights and power profile on my shiny new Razer laptop. But, I'm not you - I'm me! And I have no choice but to use it.

It really isn't ready for prime time, even if it has been in development for a while. The beta tag absolutely still applies.

RazerThe_Fiend has stated on these forums and on Reddit that they are currently focused on trying to make sure the program is solid and have temporarily halted adding support for additional devices. You can search his post history.

I do agree that it's anti-consumer from Razer to not implement support for their older products to the new software, especially in a time period of 2 years. Also, it's weird that the Kraken V2 can't be implemented.

Well, that's not true, they will be implementing some older products.

It is compatible with Synapse 2, the software which was current at the time of the release of the headset.
You're planning on switching away because of the audio quality? From my experience, the audio quality was good at least. Nothing special, but worth the money. They are known for more bass than average, but I don't see a problem with that since the EQ can be easily adjusted to your liking.

Yes but with new software the old one will be unsupported soon. If not already. I haven’t had a update in the past 6 months for Razer syn2. Which worries me since there is apparently it seem they focusin all their efforts on making the new software good.

Im not to worried about the headset tbh but the fact that my mouse won’t work on it and possibly never will dose. And I understand that syn2 is the current release but one day it won’t be and most likely be dropped from support.

And from what i heard razer may not be in the headset game for long. and if they are that will be a slap to the face if they make a kraken v3

Odd that the Kraken 7.1 V2 is not being put to Synapse 3, but time will tell if they end up moving it over. The Deathadder Chroma was also designed for Synapse 2 at the time it was made and I am sure Synapse 3 wasn't planned when that was released back in 2014 (4 years ago).

The last that was mentioned about adding new products by one of the devs was that they are done adding new products (other then new releases like the huntsman's) for the time being and they are working on fixing all of the bugs and trying to optimize it so it runs better on older systems and such. I have not read anything on them starting to add legacy products back again, but they should some day.
