Hello forum-er, was wondering how well does the Razer Phone work with water? Since it has been release more than a month ago, i'm sure there are a few Razer Phone user encounter some kind of water event with it, be it rain or mini splash on it. Share with me your experience, whether if it is still working or minor problem start showing up. P.S really wanna get a Razer Phone but no water-resistance is pushing me away from Razer
I can at least bet that it won't die on you if it got just like a splash of water from rain, it won't break. Unless you completely submerge it in water. I don't have the phone personally, but I hope to get one this coming summer. I bet there will be a life-proof-like case soon for the phone soon.
I've used it in the rain (drizzle/regular rain, not torrential), and it has held up just fine. I do have a glass screen protector on it as well.
Does the speaker still work perfectly fine after usage in the regular rain? Good to know that it is working after a regular rain survivor Yes! Hope there will be a thin life-proof case soon.
While I was hesitant about buying the Razer Phone because there is no water resistance, the rest of its features sold me. I had cancelled my Pixel 2 XL preorder and submitted my email address immediately once I could, before Min finished the announcement! My Razer Phone has had a few accidental splashes and is doing fine. Regardless, I would highly recommend do not let it near water, just to be safe! Might be best to look into any waterproof cases or wait to see what Razer Phone v2 features (ex. water resistance)
Spilled water and it got all over my Macbook and Razer Phone. The Razer phone is fine. The Macbook keyboard doesn't work, won't charge, and can't power on unless I unscrew everything, disconnect the ram and power again. Doesn't mean you should be careless with your Razer phone and let it get wet though, nor should you keep it in the bathroom while you're showering as the steam could get in and damage it.
Get a Sony. I take mine (I have the XZ1 compact, now) in the bathtub all the time. It's gross to have a phone that can't be cleaned with soap and water once in a while. Even the lowly iphone is waterproof since 2016!
Consider using alcohol to clean your electronic products. *disclaimer -- no idea if the Razer phone paint job may not respond well to this.
nice! Yes! totally agree with looking into a waterproof cases had bad experience with sony, most likely wont be going for sony though @everyone do you all recommend Pixel 2 or Razer Phone? been thinking of getting either of this two
I haven't tried the pixel 2 yet but I've had the razer for several months and i can tell you its held up better than any samsung i've had in battery life and in still loving my phone and features since getting it. both have downfalls but now is a good time to get either, both have been out for a few months and have had loads of reviews. Just do some research and see witch one best suites you and your needs. good luck m8
I was *really* tempted by the Pixel 2 XL (very frequent software updates and waterproofing). But after seeing the blue tint in-person, I realized it was just as bad as they said. I couldn't live with a phone like that.
