    I for one appreciate this info. Still being able to participate in a special access even if we have to wait till after a u.s. special access is given is appreciated.

    It means if your not in the u.s. and still a razer fan you still can get some cool opportunities, there is just some lag involved :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Hi, I've been following the nabu since CES, and think that its an awesome product, and I'm very excited to purchase one. I like the ideas of the waves, however, what you said about 'hardcore' fans makes no sense. I think that that is rubbish, and anybody that wants a nabu should be able to purchase one.

    This is a very good idea! Instead of comin out on a full launch like with the iPhone 6 and 6 plus they are getting an idea of how many to have at retail launch that way no one has to wait!

    Well said Khetix.

    I was disheartened a bit last night when I had mine in my cart and by the time I was set to pay, they were all gone.

    I feel better knowing that Razer pays attention to everything we are saying and that they are genuinely interested in what we as fans and consumers feel.

    Keep up the great work gang!

    @Min-Liang Tan -- I think what you've said here is wonderful, I'm really glad you took the time to address folks and get people on the same page. From what I've seen around here having posts from the staff members, and most especially yourself, goes a long way in helping the community feel in touch with Razer and with feeling like we're all being heard.

    While the initial first wave for the Nabu may have been a little messy in some areas, I think it went pretty well, all in all. I love that we got new forum members and a burst of energy around here, and hopefully the great posts will keep on coming. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to your fans!!

    I think this is definitely different but it works. They will get a basic idea of how many are interested and move production accordingly. I do understand the frustration of not being the lucky one but that's exactly what happened when the beta units were released. You win some you lose some.

    I guess the hard part is how do you want to use insider for these pre-releases: as a way to better judge community demand for a product or as a way to reward active insider community members while gaining their insight. It is a struggle to attempt to do both. As you said all companies struggle with predicting demand if it were life and business would be easy. I appreciate your messages and how active you have been in is thread. There will always be people that are not happy no matter what you do

    Thanks for the explanation Min, I thought as much. I just wish the early release included Australia, but that's just wishful thinking :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Sounds fair I guess, show some love for your hardcore fans from SG! Open up some slots for the 2nd wave for us! :)

    Really enjoy this idea, even though I missed out the first wave. I can't wait to get my hands on it hopefully.

    i just got the email with the link from Razer just now. but I wish that i would got it way sooner, and the link to the store isn't working.

    And anybody who wants a Nabu will be able to purchase one when we hit mass retail - special access is just for the hardcore fans who want to be the first to get the launch units.

    I think probably the only thing that would asuage any bad feelings over this release is a full store rollout with full release to resellers simultaneously. I think the attempt to create a loyalty based merit system where insiders get first dibs has left many feeling that the attempt was rigged, especially when some "loyal" members failed to recieve their email invites after being notified they qualified and still others who were base members or didn't meet all the requirements got the jump on some insiders that worked harder and perhaps deserved the opportunity more. You really could'nt miss judge the high demand for this device, anyone that knows Razer's equipment knows about the nabu and when you throw in all the coverage on the web, the advertised beta and tech convention coverage, I cannot believe that this was the best/honest way you had to gauge demand for the device. Having worked in marketing, I know better but this is your company. Having lingering overstock aside, I have a feeling that would not be a problem with global sales outreach coupled with the price point you were asking. Then there is the issue of rewarding the loyalist Razer supporters. A vague concept when you try to quantify it. Who is more loyal to Razer? The individual that buys everything Razer creates or the individual who follows a specific project from beginning to sale? If the first axiom is the best gauge, the why is second one not? I sense a false sense of merit here, maybe not intentional but still flawed and it still pits one segment against the other in a "winner takes all" scenario that is not very equatable. I know my opinion doesn't matter here and I am not trying to be a malcontent, but perhaps creating a specialized contest open to a quantity of insiders to win a nabu, perhaps signed by you or different in some way from the retail units could be the incentive to reward the "loyal" while rolling out the retail online and in stores simultaneously for thosethat wish to just outright purchase a nabu and sate their desires. I cannot believe you would want to leave out any consumer in the process, but I think this rollout left many feeling that the company is only interested in the vaguely defined loyalists to Razer's products.

    The bottom line is making money as the business. I fully understand the marketing strategy, but doing this "hardcore fans" pre-registered & pre order to predict the number of products that you need is kind of lame. It is your company, it is your call.

    Any "ballpark" timeframe on the retail sales? I'm not a hardcore fan, but very interested consumer who has high hopes for this product. I too have been waiting for the NABU since the CES 2014. Any info is appreciated.
