point wasn't xps is a better gaming machine, of course it's not. Main point is that at this point razer should have just waited for pascal / Polaris because it is just a tiny increase over the 2015 model. When release was March, it made some sense. Two months is a long time in the tech industry. Nvidia is having a closed release in 5 days, the full release is just around the corner and now Razer has to sit on their outdated "new" product to get a ROI. Meanwhile MSI, Asus, Alienware / Dell will be pushing out Pascal / Polaris laptops shortly after Computex. These laptops will also have tb3 capabilities most likely. Choice isn't going to be hard for most gamers.

I would be fine with a 970m for now. Seeing as I will be coming from a laptop that has an integrated graphics card with a cpu that never goes above .78ghz (should go to 2.5) I think the blade would be enough for me. And if I ever did need to pump up the graphics afterall, there is always the core. The core is that main selling point of the blade because it stops the gpu from becoming obsolete, and thats the frst thing to go.

does anyone know if the 14 inch will be available for dbrand? I want that black leather

  6. Doesn't matter. It's that they provided their info like card info and what not. The situation was an unhappy one for the customer and Razer should've tried to calm the situation. That's customer service.

Actually asked them a couple weeks ago and they said no but would consider it if there was enough demand.

I think it is safe to assume that they will make one for the 14 inch blade, as they have already made some for the stealth.

Please everyone, for your fellow razer men and women who want nice skins, just send them a pity email even if you don't want one for me  :D

  11. You guys got Blue started, this thread probably isn't long for this world either.

I will say my own opinion of Min's statement is that it doesn't really add up. The earthquake was on April 14th. Original ship date of the Blade was March 31st, that's the date they should have been boxed up and on trucks to our houses, so how are our Blades affected by the earthquake. It may be that they are ALSO affected by the earthquake NOW but in order for them to be affected by the earthquake on April 14 there needed to already be issues with these things not being ready.

It doesn't affect anything for me, sadly this is the laptop I want and I can't find a suitable alternative. But this is just plain silly. The amount of delays and then the silence followed by confusing and misleading statements. I'm pretty certain Min just said "earthquake in Japan" thinking "they can't complain now, this was a tragedy, I'm off the hook."

Everyone ignore him please so this thread doesnt get closed as well.

I agree socca and it was kind of the nail in the coffin for me. "Its Intel's fault, no wait its the earthquake and Sony's fault.". Sorry not buying it, neither is my 2100 dollars.

Technically they're using it as a a 'proxy' excuse. The release date of the Blade was well before the Earthquake ever occurred, and apparently they were just waiting for an 'Intel update'. So obviously it was more than just an 'Intel update' they were waiting for. The earthquake just 'conveniently' came along.

They should have said it from the beginning. If I had known the webcam was made by Sony, I never would have complained. Super pumped now!

See you guys in the next shipping delay thread. :)

Man, people really get hyped up on internet threads...

Regardless, my Pre-Order is cancelled, I do want to see how the Blade + Core perform.

Min's statements don't seem to add up, I'm worried it might be some issues with the core not working properly (i know linus managed to mess it up during a demo?)

  16. It's the problem that the excuses or "explanations" they've given don't add up. Japan earthquakes? That doesn't have anything to do with March delays.

All I am asking for is simple "I'm sorry for the delay but this is the reason la de da. The Blade will be shipped to happy customers on May 18th! Please be patient, we are doing our best!
    Razer."

That's not hard. That's just good customer service.

  17. I mean a statement that sets things right like:
"We are sorry for the delay but this is the reason la de da. We are working overtime to fix this problem so the laptops will be shipped to the customers in the perfect shape. The Blade will be shipped to happy customers on May 18th! Please be patient, we are doing our best!
    Razer."

That took me 15 seconds. I'm sure they can give up 15 minutes.

  18. Well we're all wondering if this is even truth. I understand perhaps the earthquake is causing the April - May delays but I'm not 100% sure. I didn't find the FB link or look for it. Either way, would be nice if they just emailed customers with the explanation to set things right.

If it is in fact the reason, then good.

Also I don't get why you're all up in this. Like they're the company that wants the consumers' money. They should be the ones accommodating apologies and unhappiness. I don't expect a company to tell us in detail but if they're not going to set things right and risk losing revenue, then that's on them. You've no point or right in caring or stopping how we think.

Wow. I guess it's time to stop following another once useful thread. Well, I've ignored my first person on my board. Too bad there is no RazerInsider Reward for that. ;)

It's hard to believe that there is one person on this forum that singlehandedly destroys every thread they touch... yet they are still on here. What an impressive troll... SMH:confused:

don't stoop to his level gurgeman. Let him think he's more intelligent and above everyone else. It's more amusing that way.
