I wonder what the "Intel Update" was. Maybe putting a i7 6970HQ in there :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So I'm a layman when it comes to upcoming tech like "Pascal." Is it really that much of a leap from what is currently offered in the new Blade's graphics card? I pre-ordered and this will be my first gaming laptop, I don't want it to be completely obsolete in 10 months. Any insight would be appreciated.

I just priced out a Pulse 15 with a 1080p display (better battery life). It's about $200 more than the Razer Blade which is very attractive (you get a bit more with this device, HDD + SSD, DVD drive and the Division).

Downside, projected ship date is May 13. hmmmmmmmm

This really makes a person rethink the order. I do agree if Razer gave a reason why the delay is happening i would not be half as mad as I am. Now what really chapped my A$$ is when I logged in to face book and Loot Crate Has a New Razer Blade un-boxing Video

  6. Pascal is the next generation of gpu that will be released by Nvidia. Maxwell is already 2years old and running at 28nm process. Pascal on the other hand hasn't been released yet but is just around the corner using 16nm process on their wafer. It means pascal would be more powerful in every direction.

My main worry is not about the delays but about getting this new technology out correctly. It sucks that it is late, but it would be detrimental if it did not function correctly.

That's pretty sad. Them having a review unit tells me that they aren't making any changes to the laptop.

"This order will be shipped after the release date of 5/18/2016 for The New Razer Blade (512GB)."

Now my order says this in red at the bottom instead of the 25th of May.

LOL at the unboxing video being posted. That's the advantage of being media or VIPs I guess. They do get advanced copies.

you guys the unboxing of the razer on loot crate, is the razer blade stealth not the new razer blade, you notice that before he unboxes it because the size of the screen on the specs says it's a 12.5 inch screen

I keep checking for press reviews of the 2016 Blade also.

That makes me feel a little better. Not having review units out years means they may actually be making upgrades.

I think there is very little chance these delays are to squeeze in an upgrade to the New Blade. Because they've delayed the Core and the Blade together, chances are it is because of an issue or supply issue with the Thunderbolt chipset. We've heard two different reasons(i.e. update and supply) from Razer but they've always indicated it was an Intel update.
