I was one of the unfortunate people to not read the specs and still buy ACU
I have always loved the Assassins Creed games, but looking at some of the reviews, there seems to be some performance problems

Have any of you seen the graphics/do you think for what it looks like, should it have a GTX780 as a recommended
Is it like some of the other more recent AC games, buggy, annoying or does it really set itself apart from the rest

I only play first person story driven games like this on my PC and even with a 970 G1, it's laggy as hell. I've noticed the textures have started to degrade the further I get in to the game as well. It's not good. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

I need to wait for my new PC in order to play AC Unity.... :slightly_sad::slightly_sad::slightly_sad:

The game has played pretty good for me on xbox one. The fact that the npcs actually fight back and grow in numbers quick makes the game a lil more interesting. The online co-op was having issues connecting to parties though. Havn't tried it since the patch came out.

I have a worse graphic card GTX 765. At first the game preformed extremely bad...yes laggy as hell...later I turned off all the visial qualities and used razer boost... Basically the boost turned off every process running in the background and clears your ram. Well then it was getting better I mean at least smooth enough to be played. I guess this is the last AC that my blade can afford.

Sequences are shorter than other AC games... (2-3 memories per) Kinda doesn't feel like you're getting your moneys worth for single player. The framerate it shipped with is inexcusable, but I have to say the graphics are nice. Mechanics are smooth... when they work :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. They honestly need to spend more time on each iteration, they are milking the franchise too fast and not giving a quality game anymore. I'm sure it would have turned out a lot better if the team that didn't work on rogue worked on this as well.

It's all right but feel kinda they didn't do anything special with it. Paris is beautiful though.

Aside from the obvious poor optimisation on PC. I'm finding it to be decent game, it's not as good as the Ezio series or 4 but it's better than 1 and 3.
The parkour is the worst I've ever seen in any of the games, at one point I can remember dangling from an archway and no matter how hard I tried, he wouldn't pull himself up so after being stuck for a good minute I decided just to let go.

The draw distance is terrible for what its trying to say it can run at. I got a gtx 980 and anything past 100ft looks like an early xbox 360 game. :/

I can't speak for the PC version, my PC'd die trying to play it, but I got it on PS4. HOnestly, I love it, the story's great, the characters are interesting, it looks gorgeous...If it wasn't for the disastrous launch, it'd be the best AC in a LONG time. My ONLY real complaint besides technical issues, was it was sometimes TOO hard, and it was fairly slow-paced getting going, but once it got going, it was grand.

Oh, I hate the implemented microtransactions, if you do a lot of the side stuff, especially the Cafe Theatre (your "homestead" of sorts), line, money won't be any problem except it just will take time. I also hated that some items could only be unlocked by doing social club junk, I have NO FRIENDS that play it, so how can I get all the gear that would suit my playstyle?

Anyway, yeah, a few issues, but on overall really good game.

It started as a disaster but, with the updates it's supposed to be wayyyyyyy better. At least, that's what Ubisoft said...

Ubisoft really needs to stop rushing out their games, which means taking their time to polish the game and fix the game, even if that means that they have to delay the release date for their games.

Maybe hire a good QA team as well. lol
  15. It was hit and miss:

First, let me mention the problems of the game:
-Performance and bugs: No matter on which plattform you were playing, you always had framerate drops, clipping issues and AI bugs
-Storyline: The story way too obvious and some major points were clear from the start
    -no "outside of animus story"

    The good stuff:
-Paris. The world was probably one of the most beautiful open worlds I have ever seen in a game
-Mission design: Missions were more open with possibilities of different approaches
    -Co-Op Missions

performance, at least on PS4, is better, I went from getting 15-20 FPS, to 25-30. I THINK they were too ambitious and that was the cause of the framerate issues. In Dead Kings, I got good FPS without issue (~30), so I think Paris was just too huge, or something, because in Dead Kings you're in Franciade, which is..probably just a little bigger than Versailles.

I personally didn't experience any performance issues with my gtx 780 on ultra until they patched to improve the performance ^^ and now I can't even play it on High on 60 fps -.-
But if you're ok with 30 fps its a pretty nice game... the story is not the best but its ok^^
