I am hoping they make smartphone that can controll system on go, like virtual gamepad controller or switchblade. Also gtx1050 (LE?)powered tablets as second generation from Edge.

    So question,

How is Razer going to screw this company up? We can tell that they abandoned the Forge TV and the Ouya guys are left in the water without a lifeline. Nextbit themselves only made one phone and yes while they delivered, their hardware isn't really amazing. (Software wasn't awful though).

Let's face it, you guys are not up to snuff with android development or supporting android devices. No excuse for not having Netflix support, your Forge TV is pretty garbage to be honest, and it took you literal years to push out a Marshmallow update that everyone else had early 2016.

My only concern for doing what they do with the cloud storage merging is data charges. Data is not cheap in the U.S., and downloading all of your files if you are not at home, well, it will be a problem.

That's the whole thing that Nextbit was founded on.

Assuming that IS the route Razer goes to make a phone, then I suspect it will be the auto-uploading of data.

I however think that Razer will probably make a gaming tablet with some auto uploading features for streaming like twitch or youtube videos or something.

But we'll have to see if that's Vaporware or not, and if Razer will actually put out something decent there.

Right now they should fire their Android Dev Team and keep the NextBit guys, but that's my opinion.

By the way, you can still get the Nextbit phones on Amazon for around $159 or so.

Even though the NextBit wasn't very durable, I did actually like the design of the phone which was rather unique.

Yeah, we're super stoked to join Team Razer! 2017 is going to be a lot of fun! Look forward to poking my head in the community and participating. I actually own a few Razer products at home, so I'm glad to be joining a company I'm passionate about!

Are you going to be working with all Android products that Razer develops, or just the Nextbit?

Maybe you could have saved the Forge before it died.

Probably CES 2018 - Razer Chroma Phone with glowing chroma Razer logo at the back. A phone that connect all the razer insider community. Excited. Looking forward for Razer OS.

With all the support, you might as well think Razer is making a phone. (They should.) I would buy it, chroma notifications and a green LED light on the back (Like people do with their iPhones with the macbook light) sound smexy asf.

Razer phone that can be put in to a 2lbs 14" Razer laptop frame slot and make it a laptop while charging the phone at the same time.
