I don't know which headphones to buy! I'm working with a less than 250 NZD budget and I want a good mic for discord and my YouTube channel etc. I also want good sound too (obviously). I am interested in the Kraken Pro V2. Any suggestions?

If I was in your spot I would look at the Kraken 7.1 V2 for a few reasons over the Kraken Pro V2.
Yes, It is more expensive (About $20 CAD), But for that you get Chroma lighting and Synapse Support, A better microphone and surround sound. Yeah, It is a USB Headset so if you would wish to use the Kraken 7.1's on a phone it would not work without some kind of possible adapter, even that may not work. You are missing the in line audio controls on the 7.1 though, I got around this by programming a couple buttons on my mouse to be able to change volume along with skip tracks and pause the music if I am listening to Spotify and such (Mamba TE Mouse).

I have had my Kraken 7.1 V2's since last year and I have loved them since I have gotten them, They sound great and they are amazing on the head and the best pair of headphones I have ever owned. Stay away from the Version 1 headsets though, They are bad on the head and they don't have nearly as good audio as the V2's, mainly because the Kraken V1 headsets were some of Razers first audio experiences, and they perfected everything with them when it came to the V2's, even the build quality going from Plastic to mostly aluminum.

The pro is still a good option if the 7.1's don't fit in your budget, But I would rather go for the 7.1's, and if you don't have the money for them and think you can save for a bit to get them I would say it would be worth it.

Ya if you don't need to use them with old devices the Kraken 7.1 v2 is by far the best wired Razer headset you can get right now & the best bang for you buck. It has a much better mic then the Pro, pretty good 7.1 & a ton of features in Synapse to tweak the sound & mic so you can get it just how you like that analog sets like the Pro just don't have.

The Chroma option and the synapse support might be useful, but at least in my opinion not necessary. Chroma is purely aesthetics and doesnt add anything. However like i said it is an opinion.

I own the Kraken pro V2 and i am very satisfied.

    - They seem to be very durable. Aluminum frame. i have em for about a year now.
    - couchons are from leather, are thick and soft. They fit perfectly over my ears.
    - without extension cable they are well suited for laptop use
    - for the pc you need the extra length for the extra cable that is supplied with it.
    - Sound is good depending on what you listen to. In movies and games i love the Bass so good choice for me.

    - your ears might become warm over time.
    - Cable makes noise when it scratches your clothes or table.
    - no noise cancelation (if thats what you want)

logitech g933 is what i use, got one for about 80 bucks on ebay, wireless and 7.1, mesh earcup sinstead of faux leather, about 8 hours of run time on a full charge, can be used while charging, also, metal frame and very durable and comfortable. I havent had any experience with razer headphones aside from an old carichas which died after a month. i did my research before buying tho.

I have a Kraken 7.1 v2. The sound quality is pretty amazing particularly the bass.

I'd get it for the chroma alone if I didn't have budget constraints. Maybe I can hustle my wife into buying me one. o_O:wink_:

If you use them to play games, than i recommend you any model that is 7.1 surround, i don't know if you ever tried them but you can hear the sound of the exact location and side from your enemies, front or back, it's truly great. I think that stereo type is fit more to music and other stuff.

Kraken 7.1 V2.. It has the best output for its price, and I'm telling you.. Everything is better with surround, it is durable and has a mercury version too!

    I personally use the ManO'War's, and a Serien X.
Not really sure what to tell you, I haven't have good experiences with Razer headset mic's, so I'd recommend a Seiren X. As for headphones, it's really up to you. I just really prefer the feel of the ManO'War.

The ManO'War is a great overall headset, from sound to comfort. I must say that a piece broke on my headset, but Razer's RMA and support team did a great job to replace mine in a short amount of time.
