  1. I'm not sure about the rest of the community on here and I do hope the awesome CEO see's this:
The current cases for Razer phone (no offense), kind of suck. I dropped a decent amount of money on this phone I really want to protect it well. In the meantime I bought the TUDIA case for the razer phone, it's way more durable. Let me tell you, it really does the job.. learned first hand.
But I really miss having a wireless charging feature on my phone now that I switched to the Razer! My Lumia 950XL had wireless charging and that phone is fricken old now.

So: What if Razer made a REAL Rugged case, thick enough that it incorporated a few features... once placed on the phone it would have:

-wireless charging on the back surface (to allow this the case would need to plug into the phone)
-That means it would need to have a splitter to re add an external type -C port for corded charging too
-On that splitter, add in an adapter for not just the external Type-C input but add a 3.5mm Aux jack as well!
The case would be rugged enough that no one would care that it's there, takes up hardly any space. And we all get the option of going for the case for not just wireless charging, but adding a aux and real protection to the phone. (keep in mind this would add an extra 2cm or so to the length of the phone with the external adapters..but worth it)

    Discuss. Good Idea? Lame Idea?
    I really hope this happens.

A wireless charging case would need to made out of glass, thus making the case more fragile than the phone. I dont think it would be that great of an idea...

  3. Ooh not true. The back of my Lumia 950XL was a thin piece of plastic. It's possible to contain wireless charging inside the layers of a case of my description

Wireless charging slips can be added to any case nowadays as long as it's not too thick so plastic and aluminium works, it is true that the downside is that you are always using the port and it can be annoying.
I don't know about a case with all these features, but I'm indeed very sad wireless charging wasn't in the list of features for the Razer phone. If there are real risks when designing these types of equipment we should be educated on it. Like "well if we add that feature we would have to sacrifice on weight or we can't add that component so it would be your loss" something like that so we can acknowledge the design choice.
  5. Yeah that's the issue I have with that is the loss of the type-C port, which happens to be where the headphones go in. The benefit with wireless charging (on a desk job like mine) is I can charge (wirelessly) and have Type-C filled with my headphones, unfortunately there's no point to the wireless adapter pads as you mentioned if this the case, might as well plug it in for faster charging times..

(and no I really don't like wireless headphones)

I got this case for mine and it's awesome. Offers great protection. Sometimes want to remove it and smash the phone to bits, but that's a different story.
  7. Yeah that's the same case I got. It works pretty well.
