Razer Synapse

I have a Mouse Dock Pro and a Basilisk V3 Pro. I want to set the lighting on the Mouse Dock to show the mouse's charge percentage. I want to set an advanced effect on the mouse itself—a circle. How do I do this?Because when I set advanced lighting on the mouse, it also changes on the Dock, and these "advanced" settings don't have the option to adjust the lighting based on the mouse's charge percentage.

Third day of owning Tartarus PRO. Old user of Razer keypads. Today all of a sudden my thumb buttons stopped respecting bindings. They act as default (arrows keys). Restarted Synapse, restarted PC - no luck.Debug/testing:create new profile assign anything on any thumb button it works assign anything on any other button thumbs get back to default (arrows) from now on you can not make thumbs work with assigned actions unless the profile is deleted.Resetting all other settings does not help. Nothing helps except deleting the profile and create a new one. Goto #1. How do I make them work now? Total reinstalling Synapse? Rollback to S3? What?

Now it fails to automatically switch profiles and sometimes it even switches back to default profiles while gaming. It’s like they’re evolving the software but backwards. What the hell???

First things first, I’m proposing the creation of a “REQUESTS” board, a platform that could be a game-changer for anyone with a potentially brilliant idea to contribute to the evolution of Razer Synapse 4.  I believe this would be a fantastic opportunity for users to share their insights and suggestions for improving this software, inspiring a wave of innovation and creativity. My main request stems from the current limitations, which I believe are hindering the full potential of Razer Synapse 4, specifically the Macro module. I would like to have the option to change between a macro that takes up the whole keybind, as it does now, and to allow the macro to modify the original keypress while retaining its original function. Currently, I am unable to implement a macro that combines RIGHT-CLICK with a simpler macro, such as pressing A and B simultaneously, while preserving RIGHT-CLICK's original functionality. This forces me to create an entirely more complex macro for all of the keypres

So its been a week of not being able to use my Tartarus pro that I've had for over 2 years because of this D-pad bug… I assumed that my dpad went out from natural wear and tear when it first happened and I bought a whole new one just to plug it in and find out that it waant gonna work either and it was a software bug. I get things happen, but a week and no email to registeres users or announcement on the synapse page? I didnt need to spend another $140 right now but i wouldnt know that because you guys didnt say… ANYTHING. An entire week of not being able to comfortably game and no mass reaponse to the public? You guys are Razer… like a top pc tech contender and this is the response? Set of hoops for us to jump through that dont even fully fix the issue or dont fix it at all? Im not gonna lie I have an entire Razer setup. Mouse pad, mouse, keyboard, tartarus, chair, mic…. But if I have to fumble over my keyboard, hitting wrong buttons and relearn how to game without my Tartarus that iv

Hi, I’m looking for help to see how to get the linked game profile to work for the keyboard while playing a game. I reset to factory setting and then it worked as intended for one day and now the chroma profile overrides any linked game profile. Synapse says that the game is linked and it does show up properly.  How do you solve this? 

I was recently “upgraded” to Synapse 4 and now my lighting effects don’t work on my fans; specifically the wheel lighting option. It works fine on my Ornata keyboard (under Quick Effects) but it isn't even a selectable option anymore for my Razer Chroma ARGB Controller. Why was this removed? How do I get it back? It worked fine in Synapse 3. Why fix what isn’t broken. Tried to go back to Synapse 3 but you can't (great).  Tried to add the Chroma APP to do the Advanced light options and get wheel there but if you pick the Advanced light option the fans all go dark and nothing I pick there changes that. I can only use quick effects with the Razer controller. Really not happy about this. Everything I have is a Razer product and their own software update borked it all. Edit - if I pick an option from under Quick my fan lights work through the controller. Just wanted to add it works sometimes but only with those standard options and why is wheel not one for the Razer controller?

razer synapse 4 when  i open pc the dont boot automatic need to open it manual all the time to work how can fix this strat up is on on synapse 4 somthing wrong and services is all on 

After updating to Synapse 4, the DPAD key bindings on my Tartarus Pro cannot be configured. Is there a way to download an older version? I am eagerly anticipating Razer's official release of a new, fixed version of Synapse 4. The current faulty version is extremely uncomfortable and frustrating to use. It's just so hard to adjust to.  

I have a game (SWTOR) that requires Synapse 4 to be in administrator mode in order for the mouse to function in the game. It’s easy enough to do this manually by exiting Synapse then re-running it from a shortcut in administrator mode. But I have to do this every time I restart the computer and would prefer to have it auto-run in administrator mode.Normally I’d look for a file named synapse.exe and set its properties. But Synapse 4 isn’t quite that straightforward because it’s run by a launcher of some sort, so I’ve set the properties of RazerAppEngine.exe instead. Hopefully that will work.Is there some sort of setting or perhaps a parameter for RazerAppEngine.exe that would accomplish this instead? Or the actual Synapse 4 executable file?Google searches haven’t been helpful.

I have a Deathstalker V2 and have Synapse 4 running in Windows 11. I have setup a couple extra profiles and specified a custom Static color to be used in each profile. I then assigned the profile to the onboard profile slots (red, green, blue, teal). The profiles appear to be created properly because when I shutdown Synapse, I can press the Fn+Menu key combination and the keyboard lights up to reflect the color-coded value of the profile that I switch to. However, the custom static color that I have defined in Synapse 4 for each profile does not get stored in the onboard profile. Instead, I just get the standard set of color/styles.I see in the forum that many others have reported this, going back quite some time, but there is very little explanation or solutions. The online documentation specifically states that onboard profiles are effective even when Synapse is not running.

Hello,There seems to be an issue with Synapse 4.After rebooting the PC, the Synapse tray icon shows that no devices are connected.However, once I manually launch Synapse, the devices appear in the tray and everything syncs properly.I've already tried a clean installation.Even after formatting the PC, the same issue persists.What could be causing this to suddenly happen? synapse4 ver 4.0.86.2508050339

when will razer add MacOS synapse support for Deathadder V2X hyperspeed mouse. Can we expect it soon?hope it gets added soon!

I'm using the Razer Viper V4 Pro, but I can't assign macOS function keys (forward/backward) to its side buttons. Mice from Logitech and SteelSeries support this feature just fine. This is a basic yet critical function, and I really hope it gets added in the official release soon.

Let me start by saying that Synapse is the worst software ever created for PCs. No other software has been as broken after all these years of existence. After last update I have the same problem as people in other threads, which only further demonstrates that Razer doesn't have any software testers on their team. They're forcing us to pay for the hardware and then become free testers. Synapse doesn't load after system startup when "Minimize applications after startup" is checked. When this option is unchecked, everything works normally.When it starts minimized, you have to click the icon and manually enable Synapse, and only then will RGB work.How can something like this not be noticed? Only God and the pseudo-testers at Razer know. To all those who say my tone is aggressive, of course I am. I reported basic bugs here years ago, and they still haven't been fixed. Like the MOUSE DOCK PRO permanently lighting up after turning off the computer. There have been dozens of threads about this

Whenever I set any macro to use toggle continuous playback, overtime the playback will begin to slow. The total duration will be 7 seconds but as it runs it’ll take 13 seconds or longer to complete.  tried fresh install and pc restart nothing works. 

Please for the absolute love of God! why can’t i use the synapse app without having to first connect to the internet. This needs to be fixed Razer! Please for God’s sake!!

Blackwidow V3 (Analog) volume wheel light completely turns off while adjusting volume or while muted, after the 26-Mar-2025 Synapse update - it’s supposed to glow white during adjustment, and red while muted. I downgraded to Synapse 3 from 4, and it works perfectly fine again so it seems to be a Synapse issue. Are there any fixes, and how do I get this to the attention of Razer?

Hello, as the title says, since I updated from Synapse 3 to Synapse 4, the Chroma Stuido dedicated app seems to not be working for my Basilisk v3 mouse.As you can see, when I set up an effect (here red static), first off, the chroma studio preview does not show any color on the device, and on the physical device, no RGB at all.It is well set in the synapse app as well. And even with the “Fast effects” (idk if its translated well), nothing happens on my RGB mouse.I can put any effect with any color, nothing happens, the RGB of the mouse remains turned off, same in the chroma studio preview. Maybe I’m missing an option I need to check, or I’m wrongly configuring the effect, I configured my effects a long time ago on the synapse 3.Is there anyone who has this problem ? any solutions ?Thanks in advance for your help !

So today I was prompted to upgrade to S4, and as a result I've spent 2 hours setting it, only to roll back to S3 in the end.I’m so frustrated and angry… Why would they recommend it if it so buggy?!No matter what I did, it couldn’t normally transfer my Studio profiles with that migration tool. Almost everything was lost. I even tried importing saved profile files, but the new Studio saw only one profile in them. Is it really that hard to have backwards compatibility for importing?! Especially since they have that migration tool, so the basic logic is already there.I also could not make Synapse profiles to autoswitch when switching to Excel (which is one of the main reasons for me to using this product in the first place): when I tried to add it to the linked games (why not finally rename it to games/apps?!), nothing happened. After some time and no explanation, when I opened this menu again - it mysteriously appeared there. but now I could not delete it been linked to one of the profile

Hey there, I moved from Synapse 3 to 4, since it was recommended.😅  I have a Razer Mambe Elite, which I sticked “Mouse Skates”, but its an awesome stuff. Its lifting my mouse a bit, so I had to calibrate it giving me a “lift off” value of 3.I was happy with Synapse 3. Everything worked, after restarrt of the PC the calibrated mouse pad was loaded automatically. Now with Synapse 4, I calibrated the mouse pad, everything worked fine. Lift Off value is at 3.BUT everytime my PC is restarted or after shut down, or standby, it seems that the calibrated pad is not loading, although the green checkmark is correctly set:And yes, Synapse is set to start with WindowsSo I have to open Synapse, and use a second standard mouse to click on standard and back on my calibrated “Mouse Mat” so my Rzaer Mamba is working correctly.Any advice? 😃Thanks alot

Hi, as I said in the title, my Razer Nari mic keeps getting lower by itself , only with Synapse 4.It’s kinda strange, it seems like my pc is possesed lol.I reinstalled Synapse 3 and I don’t have this problem anymore, but the audio seems muffled.

Everything about the audio visualizer works and reacts to audio fine except the very bottom row of keys and strangely the very right column of keys on my keyboard don’t light up. As if its a bottom right corner boarder. However the left column and top row of keys light up and react fine.

As you can see in the attached photo file, the device is turned off and cannot be connected. All the methods the support page has told me will not fix this.

I bought this mouse for the soul purpose of using it’s programmable buttons just to be met with disappointment when I find out my mouse isn’t being detected by the app and I can’t find it in the current supported devices list.
