Will the new RTX Razer Blade 15 be available for purchase on January 29th, or will it just be available for preorder?
Hello So i got a new Razer Blade Core i7 16GB 256GB SSD 15.6" 60Hz GTX 1060 It came pre installed with windows home, i dont want that so i re installed it with windows 10 pro ( have to be able to connect it to AD ) I tried two diff thunderbolt docks wd15 and elgato thunderbolt 3 dock. Now to the problem: With the elgato thunderbolt dock i cant get the charging to work. This made me go with the dell wd15 dock ( big misstake ) WD15 dock no picture, no lan, no charging. I read that many use the wd15 and it works. So now to my next problem is this a bios promblem i thought? Problem: i cant update bios cause i reinstalled windows 10 pro and now the update tool dosent recon that my laptop is a blade. What to do? And what dock is compatible with this laptop?
Hi everyone just picked up a razer phone 2nd hand for Christmas. It's a good mobile but as with many other people the front grill is weak and has a small split in it. I asked how much would a replacement cost to send out... Razer won't send out any replacement parts, holding you to ransom to send it to their German repair centre for the cost of €148 for a single new grill to be stuck on and the old one peeled off. This is not good value for money at all. Just saying we won't send out parts is ridiculous and unfair on consumers. Why can't a the small grill be sent to make the phone look good again, its not a warranty issue as they won't cover it under warranty. Why can't customers be assisted with these minor issues. €148 for a peel off, stick on is just ridiculous and there seems no good will between Razer and the customer as I'm not alone with this issue. Has anyone got a quick fix or an idea on a alternative speaker grill as their charge is day light robbery. Atb
Hello everyone, one week ago I got the chance to buy the 14 Blade 7700 with the 4K Display for a special price, thanks to black friday. I have the problem that when surfing with firefox, browsing or watching YouTube videos the machine goes hot very quickly, in the 60s° C, so that the fans start to spin every 1-2 minutes, again and again. I remember not having this problem, before I installed all the apps I want/have to use for working with this laptop. I already undervolted the system and set the clock frequency to 2700Mhz. But still it's idling in the 60s° C. Are there any known apps or issues in general, which could cause this problem? Edit: Even posting this thread is getting the fans to spin... Thanks in advance! Don't flame me, but these two laptops are on my short list. Has any of the members here been tempted by the Lenovo? If so what made you decide to get the Razer? I could list the specs where the Razer is better then the Lenovo and vice versa, but I thought if others were tempted by the Lenovo, I'd like to hear, or just opinions on why the Razer may be a better option. For hard core gamers and maybe that's like 99% of the members here, the Razer does make more sense given the superior GPU, but there may be a handful of others like myself :)
Hey all, I'm looking to upgrade my laptop to something that can handle some heavier Machine Learning workloads and light gaming. The Blade '13 and blade 15's look very appealing to me but I'm a bit nervous of the reviews mentioning them running hot, I'm looking forward to getting discrete graphics in a laptop, but I'm concerned that the machine might run too hot for my preferences. Are there official max temperature ratings for the different configurations? e.g. if I was in a near benchmark workload for 3-6 hours how hot would a razer 13 get? would the 15 stay cooler? thanks in advance!
Maybe its too early, but do we know the TDP values for the new GPUs? I've found the mobile version of the 1060 Max-Q as 80 watts, but all I've seen in googling is the 2060 consuming 160 watts, which I have to believe is the desktop variant. I'm trying to do my best to get as much info, to make an educated decision and comparing the 1060 Max-Q vs the 2060, and how that lines up to the 2070 and 2080 which I understand are Max-Q versions.
I bought the HP USB-C dock to connect my RB15 to my screen (over Displayport) and kb/mouse (over USB-A), in an attempt to connect everything with just one USB-C cable (not counting the charger). However, it won't connect to my monitor, and upon Googling the issues I stumbled upon the myriad of troubles people have connecting their monitor over USB-C. I remember that back in the day pretty much everything worked as long as the cable fit the slot, but with USB-C that doesn't appear to hold true anymore. Which docking station can I use with the RB15, if I want to connect my monitor over Displayport and a bunch of other things over USB-A? Has anyone done this before?
How do they refurbish their laptops? Include as much information as possible please. Thanks!
Hi, I recently purchased a Blade 15 Advance last year. Been trying it out and well... it's pretty toasty temps hit 95c-100c while gaming on low settings and max fan speed. would like to know if this is normal... Using HWmonitor and HWinfo
the secondary function not lightingg up is so just annoying, anyway and website to can make the upgrade possible.
So I recently sold my razer stealth 13" (I believe it is the V3 model with i7-7500u), along with my disused core v2. I also sold my 2015 MBP 15". This was Razer stealth #3 for me and the first one that I actually enjoyed. Razer is pretty good if you get lucky. In their place I purchased what appeared to be a fantastic deal: a dell precision 5520, complete with high-end i7 quad core, 4k touchscreen, quadro gpu, 32gb ram, and 1tb ssd, for $1300. It was only a year old and in perfect cosmetic shape. It has also been an unmitigated shitshow disaster. I returned it yesterday for a refund and now have no laptop at all. The good news with the dell: the gorgeous display The bad news with the dell: putting a high-end i7 and quadro GPU into such a slim body means the computer can't do much of *anything* for more than a few minutes before it gets overheated. Play a game? Ferget it, completely. Render a video, even a short one? It starts out fine but quickly slows to below real-time 1080p h264 r
My blade pro runs a GTX 1060 and I use 4K monitor by Acer. My question is, does 4K overwork or strain my laptop in some form? My laptop has been faulty since purchased and it hasn't been a year. There were issues with blue screen crashes, power supply not working, and recently my unit smoked w/ a burning smell. Anyhow, I've RMA my system 3x now and they decided to replace it since it has been defective from the start. My main question is does 4K negatively affect the internal systems (processor, graphics, power supply) on my laptop especially when playing games like BF5. Should I be using a lower end external monitor. I'm also planning on getting core v2 eventually if it means running smoothly on 4K. But for the meantime, should I be worried about using my blade pro with a 4k monitor in gaming? Kind of got traumatized with my RB pro breaking/malfunctioning that makes me thing everything can kill it. lol. Thanks you! Pao
Greetings, First and foremost, this is my first post on here; I'm also not an expert when it comes to computer/laptop products and system so any detailed help would be very much appreciated. I own a RB Pro (2017) - FHD GTX 1060. I'm interested in owning a core v2 to spice up my gaming experience. I'm not really interested in building a desktop. My question is, is there a significant difference between just utilizing my RB pro and bumping it up to 1080Ti? Also, I'm not really knowledgeable about GPU so is there a difference if I simply buy the GPU straight from NVIDIA or are those MSI/ASUS ROG STRIX GPU work for the core v2 as well? If not, can u name a few that I can look into? I do appreciate me some RGB GPU as well haha. Another question...given that I can afford a NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti, would it also work on the core v2? I know it's not a part of the compatibility list that Razer has on its website but just by looking around google, it seemed like it works for other people. Any though
Does the wolverine ultimate have more than two triggers that you can apply a percent of power to. Not just 100% or 0% like an B or C button but more like the regular two right and left triggers?
I recently purchased the FHD graphics model of the new razer blade stealth. It works great, except for 1 issue with text. When using a dark text editor theme (tested with visual studio 2017, visual studio code & sublime text) there is a strange aliasing pixels around some characters. What's odd is this is related to scroll position. If i scroll the text up or down, the characters display properly. I tried dual booting with a linux partition, and i can confirm that the error does not happen with linux (tested visual studio code & sublime text). I've tried calibrating the display colors on windows & adjusting clear type text, neither seemed to help. I've attached some pictures of what's happening, hopefully someone knows how to fix this. Error on windows: No error on linux:
Does the Lenovo Y900 RE support Synapse 3? And can the DVD reader be replaced by a 4K reader?
I've attempted to plug in a USB-C SD Card reader to my Blade 15 via the thunderbolt port, but it's not being detected... Any reason why this could be? I've checked everything in the BIOS and all devices/drivers are installed correctly (no yellow warning signs). I'm confused!!!
hey so i bought my Razer Blade Stealth back in 2016 and i am giving it to my little brother and he wanted fl studios on it. i remember when i got it there was something about FL studios and getting a free copy of it when u purchase the laptop. i was wondering if anyone knows how that works because i cant really find anything on it.
Microsoft provides a script to completely uninstall Office 365 but it does not work on my Razer. The laptop is a clean system install without any additional software.
I currently own a Razer Blade 14 2017. I just purchased a Bade 15 advanced. Am I able to just swap the drives out? or is there something else I need to do. thanks! Current: Razer Blade 14 (2017) Current Drive: Samsung 970 EVO 2TB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD New: Razer Blade 15 Advanced
I have a Razer Blade 15 with GTX 1070 MaxQ. I attached it with a LG 27UD68-P 4k Monitor using USB-C to Display port cable. I have another same monitor at work which I would like to bring home and connect as dual monitor setup using the other mini display port as well. My question is can the laptop handle dual 4K monitors in 60hz (8K in total) with the build-in display turned off for basic productivity tasks like photo editing (lightroom and photoshop) and programming ? As for gaming I will not use those monitors, I will use the build-in 144hz display. I would like to utilise the 144hz screen.
Hello everyone, hope everyone doing great, so i have been using the blade 15 for 2 months now and everything is good for now but i really wanna know more things about the laptop, first thing i have been using it as a desktop since the day i bought it, plugged to the power and my 4k monitor 24 hours, is that a normal thing to do? or will it effect the power brick or the laptop battery with time? second question is what's the average gpu\\cpu heating degree? and what's the best program i can use to view this kinda of information?. Thanks a lot
Since a few days ago, I have got the same issue as the one reported on the following link: /razer-blade-stealth-major-screen-issue.14981/ Is there any fix? My warranty has expired and it is not worth sending it in for RMA. This issue has shown up just after 2 years, which seems strange to me.
