People are gonna do whatever they want, it doesn't matter what we or anyone says on some forum. But it all just seems to tie in to what I commented on earlier. Why go thru all the subterfuge? Just play the game. Am I nuts on this or what?
I'm leaving mine on Dark mode forever.

Yeah, people will almost always find a way around things, with enough time and effort. I respect Razer for making an effort to curb gaming their system, and showing their stance on the matter. But, I really don't want them going over the top and needing to go to crazy or invasive lengths to combat it. Cortex already has more than enough processes running at all times. Already makes me question how it is ever doing its original intention of boosting performance for gaming, rather than being an anchor.

As for dark mode, I'm not going anywhere near anything that disables it for me. You're on your own there, bud!

Thanks, cause of my low brightness I wasnt seeing the wheel appear. Had to turn up the brightness just to find it.

Yeah, im with you on this. But I just wanted to point out that the new system doesnt really help solve the issue Razer had in the first place. On days when I dont have time I earn 0 zSilver but I dont feel bad. Im happy that someday in the coming year I might get a sweet present from Razer completely free, minus shipping. :)

Next time, I think it would be better if you just PM the staff on here instead of posting HOW to cheat the new system. That way you can still bring it to their attention, and not tell the rest of the world how to do it - totally against the Insider rules.

I'll admit I'm a little wary to install the update until we have some specifics about how this anti- idle technology works.

I would like to have at least a grasp on what info I am sending up to Razer by using this Cortex update.

Other users are always giving me a hard time for using nvidia's G-force experience. I always say, I ain't got nothing to hide or be ashamed of let them scan anyway. I use my tablet for everything else anyway. My PC is strictly for gaming.
I wouldn't worry to much about that, I'm sure Razer can set the time limit to whatever they want. They could probably even fake everyone out and put up a number in Cortex, but then set it to whatever time they want to trap people abusing the system.

At least Razer is doing something rather than the VAC *ehem* on csgo *ehem* that just lets the cheaters ruin the game. *ehem*.

Worst in game hacking I've ever experienced online was in Ghost Recon Phantoms. It's like they gave it zero protection or moderation.

In phantasy star online, they would gameshark rare weapons and mesata, the in game currency for that game, an auction it off on ebay. Just like people do with the Razer mug holders now. Not for $500.00 dollars mind you, but still decent amounts for the time.

The one I mentioned didn't even seem to be about profit or benefiting the hackers in any real way. It seemed to be purely about griefing everybody and ruining the experience.
Basically they would immediately snipe and kill, with whatever weapon they had at start, through any and all walls or objects, from any distance. No chance to progress in a match, every non hacker just dying every couple seconds until they leave.

I remember making a silly e-mail to Razer telling them how the light hurt my delicate eyes. I'm so glad they did this. lol.

It's the kind of cheat that will make you leave the game and wait for the dev to try and fix the hacking, that is if they are really trying to fix the hacking. It's irritating playing competitive matches only to be matched with some hackers, sometimes, even a teammate is a hacker. Still, annoying as hell.

Ok, so now we have light theme (Mercury white), and dark theme (original black)... so where's the gray theme (Gunmetal Gray)? :D
It'll be a great balance between this two themes :)

Well I didnt post any exploit. The other guy did, I was merely adding onto it. And yeah the post did get deleted so maybe they have the issue in notice now. But I see no way they can actually code for ending AFK behaviour all together. Even PUBG hasnt been able to do it yet, no really sure how Razer would.

Not really sure if a post delete constitutes as a warning. Would be sad to get a warning for something like that, any idiot could have figured it out on his own. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Oh what a pleasant surprise it was. I'm at friend's place, I'm updating Cortex on his PC for the daily login ( ;) ) and BOOM! Void and Darkness!
Whoever made the decision to bring black back needs a raise! :D

On another topic though, because it's also being discussed here - the paid to play anti afk. I didn't know about it in the first place, but what exactly does it do? Specifically, if you afk for 15 minutes, does it invalidate those 15 minutes or the entire session? Because I didn't get points fir s 5h session during the bonus weekend. I thought it was a bug or sth. I admit I did "afk", in that I went back to menu and took a lunch break. If that invalidates the entire session then it makes sense and I'll be smarter and turn off the game completely next time. Still, I don't think it should work this way.

It register "afk" as not active (mousemovement/keyboard key) in 15mins. if you "afk", it just stop earning zSilver

That account got banned but can't say I'm surprised, I just stopped caring about that throwaway account. Besides, you can't exactly ban all macros, there's always system-required type files that can do those stuff

Thanks for the reply. I understand the part about what it sees as afk, but how does it work after that? Because what happened to me, it apparently invalidated the entire 5h session (not the ~30 minutes of actually being afk) because I went afk to eat my lunch without shutting the game down. Which IMO shouldn't be punished :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well atleast they had the decency to not ban me. They did give me a warning so I cant access the rewards page anymore RIP. I merely pointed out that it was their own software that could be used as a bypass the system in place. But anyways, im glad that they have the issue in their mind now. Would be nice to see another attempt at curbing AFK behaviour. But im sure people will always find another way at it.

Not sure about this, but I think that what you've earned, you've earned. You just stop earning until you are active again and your case is just a bug.
yea, and this one may be banned as well xdddd
