I think this had to be done with it going to console in a few months and they are losing subs rapidly the last time I read.

I hope it works for them, I might got back and give it another go. Anyone else tempted now.

I played the beta and it was ok. Hopefully with all the changes the game gets better. I plan on getting it for xbox one when it comes out in June.

Basically it went the similar path to SWTOR. They took a heavy, heavy lore based game with tons of cinematics, decided to make a MMO on it, spent too much time on voice acting and what not, not enough time on the actual MMO element. Result, people play till max level and quit. Same thing with SWTOR. If your going to release a MMO in this day, you need to match features that every other MMO has, or you will not have a leg to stand on.

Excellent! I have been an ES fan for more of my life than not and am excited to delve into the MMO world.

I have been a big fan of the ES series, but I refused to pay online subs. I understand its a business, but Bethesda is known for making buggy games. I'd pay for a well developed game, and the DLC's, but i wont pay to be apart of a Beta.

Nice, thinking of coming back to the game to check those changes.
Even more if we'll not have to pay a sub.

Yeah if you already had the game you can now play it right away without renewing your subscription.

If they drop the subscription fees, then I may start playing this. I played the beta and it was ok

I defiantly think it has potential, but because of the minor details lacking from the other games in the series plus the fees to play without those fun details it was not as fun to play as hoped. However now that the fees have subsided not maybe the fan base for the game will rase a little bit and a larger community may grow the game to its potential.

I wonder what pay to win methods, they will implement. Do you think it will be like guild wars method?
  14. that was expected

I started playing ESO in early launch so I am happy that it's switching to free. I haven't subed the last few months because my available free time to play wasn't enough to make the fee worth it.

Even better -- I had a subscription for at least 6mos or so, and I really loved it. Unfortunately @sirjarren didn't like it as much as I did and so we moved on. (since we try to always play our MMOs together) Maybe with no sub fee I'll go back again. :)
  17. For me the beta set the tone. It just feels like a really bad skyrim mod with some horrible bussiness aspects (like imperial exclusivity). So despite my love fpr the series, no.
  18. Bro that's hella raw, it'll give a lot of people a chance to actually play the game and help it grow

Smart move, bust should have just release the game without subscription from the start tho.

Played the beta and liked it a lot, but I was against the idea of paying per month for a game. Now that's off the table I will definitely will dive into it on either PC or PS4.
