    Hi everyone,

For a while (few months) I've had the default spectrum cycle effect for my gear. However, since I got a new case, I wanted to have a static effect. Sadly, all of my attempts resulted in a major crash of Synapse 3 (beta).

When trying to set a "quick effect", using Static as the effect, with one of the default provided colors, the following error shows up: https://imgur.com/a/1ZepHtj

When using the "Advanced Settings" option, I can edit any effect, but when clicking "Save" nothing appears to be happening. When navigating away from the screen, it gives me a notification that I have not yet saved my changes. Even when clicking the option to still save my changes, again nothing happens.

    I've tried :
    - uninstalling all razer software, and start a clean installation of synapse 3 (beta).
    - deleting all files located at C:\ProgramData\Razer

Anyone an idea what possibly could be wrong??

    Kind Regards,
    Lars

It appears that there has been an update today.

Following this update, I actually CAN save my profiles. The problem now is that the profiles do not seem to be applied to the devices.

It hasn't fixed my issue though. Synapse simply doesn't crash. But the changes I take into effect, are not applied to my hardware.

Any type of change of effect.

    Example 1
    Actions:
Quick effects > Static > select some random nasty color > click "Apply to other Chroma-enabled devices"

    Result:
    Effects are ignored

    Example 2
    Actions:
Advanced Effects > Chroma studio > Change the default effect to static, with a random color > Save (no error this time, which did happen before the update) > Select the Chroma Effect 1 as an Advanced Effect for one of your devices

    Result:
    Effects are ignored

    -------

Whatever I try to do, the result is same as before the update. Any change is ignored, and I get a default cycle effect across all of my devices.

Hmm seems to be working for me.

However, I am using the Chroma V2 TE Keyboard and Hyperflux. Looking at the specific release notes many of the fixes were relating to both these devices. Perhaps they need to also apply the changes to other devices.

I hope not, that would be really bad.

  11. I am using Ornata Chroma and Naga Chroma for my set-up. And once I got the update everything switched to black and I can't edit them. If I click on them on synapse it doesn't do anything.

Yep, same issue for my keyboard and mouse. The HDK and mousemat keep "working".

I have found a "solution" to the problem.

    Attempt 1 - failed
    1. I have completely uninstalled Synapse + Chroma SDK from my PC.
    2. I reinstalled Synapse
    3. Restarted PC
    4. Logged in with my existing Razer account (at which Synapse starts to sync)
    5. Put a quick "static" effect
    6. Nothing happened

    Attempt 2 - succeeded
    1. I have completely uninstalled Synapse + Chroma SDK from my PC.
    2. I reinstalled Synapse
    3. Restarted PC
    4. I created a new Razer account
    5. Logged in with my NEW Razer account
    6. Put a quick "static" effect
    7. WORKED!!
So apparently it's a somewhat of a syncing issue with existing profiles uploaded to the razer database. Sadly, there is no way of clearing the profiles which Razer has stored for you, or atleast, I couldn't find any.

I guess all I have to do now, is to contact Razer, to get the profiles of my existing account whiped.
