Good idea. Right now I already have a few adapters it would be nice to have all that built in. I think that idea would be better for something like an Ethernet port because it wont fit. Thanks agian

Well I didn't buy two blades right away. I bought one two years ago and then this updated my hardware with the 2014 model. I love the switchblade hi. The apps are nice and as my first laptop I love the movement of the mouse to the right of the keyboard. It feels just more natural for someone who has always used a desktop.

Oh nice, btw do you think the switchblade UI should be implemented in the 14 inch Razer Blade?

No, that laptop is just to small to host the LCD touch-screen.

Oh ok :slightly_sad: .To razer blade owners out there. Is it possible to use the blade like a workstation and not make the charger keep charging the battery, cause I may be damaging the battery life of it. Any solutions? thanks

You should completely drain the battery once a week. That will help with battery life and keep the battery from "exploding" like it did to me a bit back.

Because I do not want my battery life to go from 5 hrs to 1hr, like my other laptop did, I drain it once a week?

Well when I use to leave my Blade plugged in all the time it eventually caused the battery to die and "explode" a little bit, causing the casing to separate. After talking to Razer Systems Support they said that they recommend draining the Blades battery once a week to prolong battery life and to keep it from doing that. Just like with cellphones you should drain the battery once a month and do a full recharge to prolong its' life as well.

Hopefully there will be a removable battery. Also, with Windows 10, don't think there's as much use for the touchscreen.

Wait..so the razer blade you cannot remove the battery and make it as a workstation with using power from the AC Adapter?

nope. ya have to remove the entire backcover to remove the battery. not sure if you can make it work as a workstation tho.

What does Windows do to make it obsolete? The whole point of it is to provide a second screen that you can use for other tasks while the primary screen is ocupided.

srry for late reply, but modders have done cooling mods in the past on air cooled laptops, heck one company had designed a water cooling solution for alienware (asetek) so irl is the laptop is big enough (17-18 inch) hey might have enough space without compromising on thickness; or you can try the hybrid solution like sapphire did with their 290X graphics cards (the vapor chamber)

usually they also update the 17 inch model the same way, its just more people will likely want the 14 inch blade since its more compact, cost less and most people don't need the big screen an switchblade ui
