    Conceptually this seems like a great idea but I just see it inviting a bunch of shenanigans like with the Nabu wave qualifications. I do like that you are looking in to expanding the achievements on the site and having actual rewards for them is a great idea. I just don't want this turning into people spamming the forum. For the most part, people just post to be helpful or if they have something meaningful to share, and I am afraid this will destroy that.

    Yeah this is going to increase the number of bullies and trolls here, we already have two and that is more than enough. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Awesome!!!!! That is something great for us real fans/supporters, it is great too because it is a way for people that cannot afford all the Razer goodies they wish, enjoy some appreciation too. Just watch out for post count spam postings so you guys don't give out code for people that are not really participating and trying to help other fellow gamers and support you company, but I guess that is something you will have to deal over time with.
    I can't wait to have the Razerid fully integrated so our Razer products and software counts in our favor, this is REALLY important as that cannot be spammed and really support the company to grow, unless you are willing to spend high dollars!
    Cheers

    Razer is like:
    ''Rewards!''
    Other ''gaming'' peripherals manufacturers be like:
    ''You have to pay for that and we don't like you, we just do dis shit for ze money.''

    Seems pretty awesome to me. @Razer|Technokat Do you know how you guys might be implementing rewards for owning products? I'm sure some of it will be through Synapse 2.0 but I've got a lot of Razer gear from before that was a thing...

    Nice!
    Do we have to order from razer store online to get the rewards?

    Likes are also a good idea but not everyone likes (lol) to click on that goddamn button! even if you are useful to them. Also sometimes something is really cool and a single post gets 100 of likes (not that it shouldn't count, in the end it must be amazing) but maybe the other posts from that same person gets no likes at all, and conversations/discussions are what forums are for so it should not be considered as if it was for increasing posts count only. So maybe a likes to post proportion (algorithm) would be good. In the end the more criteria gets mixed in the pool the harder it is for "outsiders" to take advantage of it and more real fans get rewarded!

    You are right, I liked your post but didnt click the damn button :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
    Razer should use some kind of a formula to find who contributed more and who didn't, a formula that takes in to account the likes recieved, number of posts, number of threads created and its reach, joining time and logged hours. This should give the activity and effectiveness of a user. After running these data through the formula we will get a number and that we can compare to get meaningful results.

    I did some math and found something that could be used
    Effectiveness of member, e= q^2 *c*a (read q^2 as: q to the power of 2)

    Quality of posts, q= Likes/Posts

    Contribution, c= Reach/Threads

    Activity, a= Logged Hours/Join time in hours
    An example:
    @NazgulStig : q=389/1183=0.33 ; c=562/18=31.22 ; a=200/4450 = 0.04
    Final result will be, e=0.14

    @kajira : q=788/1843= 0.43 ; c=1805/43=41.97 ; a= 250/4450= 0.05
    Final result, e= 0.38
    //had to do approximation on logged hours due to data unavailability

    This clearly shows that Kajira has contributed more and been more effective than me even though we both have 1000+ posts and joined on the same day.
    @Razer|Technokat : Any thoughts on what I just said?

    Seems pretty cool. I just hope it doesn't lead to massive spam in order for people to meet the rewards.

    I am completely on board with this idea. Nice to see Razer take such a big interest for the community itself

    Well now this is an interesting concept, but won't this increase spamming....?

    I think this is an awesome idea but the formula would have to be tweaked a little bit: say somebody just joined. They have posted once and gotten 2 likes. You would get q=2 c=1 a=1

    The end result would be 4 which is 100 times more than what you got. That's not exactly fair... Also, like you said, not everybody likes posts since we're too lazy to push that like button (I'll make an effort to push it for you).
