OK. Really sleek, but -as usual for the Blade- it's all compromises.
Just good enough for the casual gamer. Too bad the CPU cannot be
replaced. I would've much preferred the i7-8850H (with TXT support
    and slightly higher clock).

There's hoping the Pro gets a similar overhaul with user upgradeable
memory (since Razer does not seem to accept that people want 64GB)
and the i9-8950HK. I _really_ need a new laptop, but not this one...

Full HD (1920X1080) is the sweet spot for gaming while maximizing quality and frame rates. And it's not like 1080p is bad at all.

This is the laptop of my dreams! Although the price is scary. No offense, but the MSI GS65 and Aero 15X both are very similar to the Razer Blade 15 and are about $200 cheaper. But this laptop is probably one of the best looking laptops ever. It looks so similar to my Dell XPS. But most importantly, it has ... UPGRADEABLE RAM!!!!!!!

Can we please get Pen support on your touch screen models? I really want the Razer Blade 15 and Surface Book to marry and have a baby because I love this but I don't want to give up my Pen for editing!

Come on it just married with xps 15;) just give it a time:) You can get, i think there’s a tablet for drawing, and it is better since the display couldn’t be detached like surface book or being 180 degree opened like stealth gs65 isn’t it?

Yep, WORD. I have a 2017 Razer Blade Pro FHD (GTX1060) and Synapse 3 was already out when that hit the market. If they don't roll out Synapse 3 for at least for the 2017 Blade models, I am going to feel pretty burned...I think that would signal end of the line for my own personal ride on the Razer Hype Train...

My Razer Blade 2015 started to experience issues with the battery/MB a few months ago. After repeated calls I got the following email from the support escalation team:

"We understand your frustration about this matter. The battery needed for the repair is no longer available and will not be re-stock. This is why we can't proceed with the repair. We can always connect you to other people at our support but same information will be provided to you. We are sincere with our intention to help and it makes us sad that we can't do much because we don' t have the spare part you need for the repair to be completed. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence with our product over the past few years. As a way to recompense you for any trouble this has caused, we would like to offer you a 5% discount for any Razer laptop that you would like to purchase from our web store."

This is for a $3,000 laptop that has been used for only 2-3 yrs?!

Ouch. I would expect a HECK of a lot more than 5% discount if they can't even repair their own product...

please add a gunmetal version with the subdued logo. I really hate how this black is still a fingerprint magnet (if you really listened to your customers, you would've already seen how this has been a complaint over the years and made this happen already). also a 1440p 144Hz version with both Gsync & Optimus (Asus already pulled this off). might have to wait for a refresh of this, since this is technically 1st gen of a redesign, and I haven't had good experiences with Razer's hardware in the past (2 RB's getting sent in for repair).

Just wait for DBrand to offer balde 2018 option and that it.
I will for sure do it once I order this laptop( going to wait for the new gpu and then I will buy it).

    I don t think that a 1440p 144Htz screen exist in 15,6 inch format.

But I do agree that Gsync on demand would be great( that I hope something the next gpu generation will manage). Just a GSync only available when plugged would be great.

Without getting into great detail...it's not as big of a deal not to have gsync on a higher refresh rate screen. It's not going to be as noticable vs comparing vsync on a 60hz screen against a 144hz. Vsync won't be as bad on a 144hz screen as it would be on a 60hz.

i play a lot of fighting game like dragon ball fighter or street fighter 5.

those game are maxed at 60 frame.
what happen if you play a game that is max 60 frame on a 144htz display?

will the display go down to 60 htz?
is it possible to put the display at 120 htz? will it give a better experience?

if the display stay at 144htz then it means the 60 frame game will have each image refreshed on screen 2.4 frame. that not a round number, so is it going to create some issue or strange visual effect?

i would greatly appreciate if someone could share is knowledge.

    thanks

edit: is it possible to chose the refresh rate ? like a 144htz display allowing to be set up as 60 htz, 120htz and 144htz ?

In the case of games like that... using a frame limiter would be your best bet.

so the frame limiter will force the display refresh rate to 60Htz?
in that case it will avoid any stange tearing behavior
