Razer Orbweaver Chroma Lighting Bug/Issue?

    So I got my Razer Orbweaver Chroma for a couple of months now, I used it every now and then, not that frequent. But ever since I got it I noticed that there's a bug with the chroma lighting. So normally I would have the light running in wave effect but I noticed that everytime my monitor go to sleep (Orbweaver connected to my monitor USB hub) the Orbweaver's lighting would sometimes freeze and the wave effect stop running. Upon waking up the monitor I can't get the lighting to move again or even change profile. It basically froze, no lighting movement, no profile change, can't even manually change the profile in Synapse, the lighting will be stuck until I unplug the USB and replug it. This does not happen to my Blackwidow Chroma, Firefly or any of my mice (they are all connected to my monitor usb hub). Does anyone here have similar issue like this with their Orbweaver Chroma? Last time I talked to a rep about this and he said there's no firmware for it yet so he don't know how he can help me fix this issue. From the look of it, I think it may be a software issue.

    Greetings, I'm afraid Insider is not a support forum and this is definitely the kind of issue that you should contact support with. I noticed that you said you had contacted support previously, but I think it's possible that maybe there's something wrong with the Orbweaver itself, I think you ought to try again with a new service representative. Please go here: http://www.razersupport.com/contact-us/ and let them try again help you with your lighting issue.

    However, in this case I will not lock the thread, because we never know - someone just might have some ideas for you or share your experiences. My first thought would be to change the USB port you're using and see if it still has an issue. While unfortunate, and perhaps unlikely, maybe it's an issue with just that port.

    I understand, I will contact them again, I just open the post to see if anyone else shared similar experience or work around it. There were similar bug threads for orbweavers and from there I was able to obtain a work-around method from the community which works nicely without me having to RMA the device, so I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this since customer support also found this issue strange. Thanks for letting me know though.
     
  4. Greetings! I bought my Razer Orbweaver Chroma last week and I have exactly the same problem, even changing the USB port. Did the support solve your problem? Can you tell me how? Thanks

    I found out a fix for mine, I just went into Device Manager and remove all razer drivers for all my devices (check all the tabs to make sure anything Razer must go), then uninstall my Synapse, and restart the PC unplug all you razer devices (except mouse and keyboard because you need that to work the PC) Install Synapse and let it update ONE DEVICE AT A TIME, then go through all the devices, restart whenever synapse ask you to in order to prevent complication between devices. Do that until you get through all your devices and it should work ok. I havent had the lighting freezing issue since then. Hope that works for you.
