  1. Does anyone know where to get or how to update the firmware and BIOS on the Stealth? I bought a USB-C docking station but need to update a few things. There are no recent updates on the support site and it's driving me insane.256 QHD Version

Why on earth do we need a Razer Core to update our Razer Blade Stealth BIOS??

Exactly, i find it completely bogguss that this is not possible, while every other laptop manufacturer can!

What makes you think you need an update from Razer?

Because i have seen quitte some bios updates as soon as people connect their Core to the RBS. So their might be some bios finetunings etc, which i would also like to have. Even if there are NO finetunings or w/e then i would still like to be able to update / downgrade my bios without being forced to get a Razer Core for that.

You may still download that RBS+Core tool, install it and find everything in C\Prog files\Razer\Update tool. BIOS binary, flashing tool, firmware update and everything else is there. Ofc, you have a significant chance to brick your device without proper knowledge. But that is always the case if you want to be able to alter the firmware.

Honestly, being able to upgrade/downgrade the BIOS is a must in every freaking computer. Also, expecting the manufacturer to provide binaries is a must as well. We are talking a premium product here

Thanks for the info, didnt know about this.
But now i found a way to backup my current bios and also flash it without a Razer Core!
0651.bin is the latest bios available for the old RBS (written in the bios of your RBS as 0.65) The tool i used is called Afuwin64 from the AptioV folder, this was the only one that allowed me to do what i needed to do.

I am not accountable for any damage done to anyone's RBS, just letting you guys know how i managed to do it.

You can download it here: https://ami.com/download-license-ag...IOS_and_Aptio_AMI_Firmware_Update_Utility.zip

The command-line version of it is actually bundled with the update.

So, updating the BIOS without the core....
The BIOS successfully updated, and now my trackpad doesn't work in windows or linux, so that's a thing.
And being a spaz I didn't make a back up of the BIOS that shipped with the Blade Stealth.

Did you ever fix your laptop trackpad? I just tried this bios update and my trackpad was killed too

Did you ever try to contact razer support?

For an unrelated issue with my Blade Stealth yeah.
Not sure if this would be covered because the bios wasn't exactly provided by them

Damn, ok. I wonder if anyone here has an untainted bios that they can backup and link

Do you have the backed up bios file? Me and Doaky killed our trackpads while doing the BIOS update

I can send you one but it is rather EC update than BIOS. As far as I remember when I bricked mine restoring BIOS did not help at all. And I have no idea how to dump that peripheral controller firmware.

Can you save your current bios using ami's bios flash utility? It would be a lifesaver
