What do you do with your macro keys?

    Hello all!

    I've had a Black Widow (Currently V2 Yellow) of some kind or another for a few years and all I've done with my macro keys is set up a profile switch to turn the lighting off and a simple Dota 2 macro to buy wards and have the courier deliver them to me.

    I'm looking to use the macros a bit more and was hoping people could post examples of what they like to use and I could get some inspiration.

    Mostly, toggle mute sound and mic in Discord/TeamSpeak. Use them all the time.

    I have a macro for my email which can be very handy then also a push-to-talk key on my mouse which is incredibly useful in competitive gaming. Would highly recommend getting a mouse such as the mamba which has these keys on the side as they are extremely easy to use whilst gaming. I also have a talk manager macro because it is always useful to be able to exit a game or anything if it goes wrong.

    So, I don't have a keyboard with dedicated macro keys, but something I might use them for, as specific as it may be, is opening up the settings side panel thing in Windows 8 (Windows + I) - I don't really have any keyboard shortcuts to decrease or increase brightness, so that's what I do.

    Also, there's that scourge that's known as "Cookie Clicker" - I set my pause break button to toggle repeated clicking for that thing, which is something I'd definitely use a macro key for (if I had one). And in general, just stuff to make ease of use easier - commonly used keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl + C) could be bound to a key.

    I mean, it's certainly nothing to justify going out and getting a $100+ keyboard, but if you got 'em, might as well use 'em.

    I have a game where you can use special codes which makes the game a lot more fun. But everything is pretty fast , so writing those codes manually would take so much time that you already lost so I have a macro for the codes which allows me to write them in less than a second.

    I'd mostly use it for MMORPGs, so: abilities, lots of abilities. Outside that I'd use it for the basic media macros: pause, play, stop, volume up/down, etc.

    Just set up my first macro on the new keyboard. Just a simple two key turbo macro for 8 bit Bayonetta, but it did the trick!

    I would use them for muting/unmuting calls, but I have a Blackwidow TE.
