What Portable External Monitor will work?

  1. Hello,

I just got a the new 15in Blade (2018). I was looking into picking up a portal external monitor because I travel a lot.

    https://www.razer.com/comparisons/blade-15
    Precision glass touchpad
    Built-in webcam (1MP/720P)
Anti-ghosting keyboard with Razer Chroma™ backlighting
    Thunderbolt™ 3 (USB-C™)
    USB 3.1 port x3 (SuperSpeed)
    Mini DisplayPort 1.4
HDMI 2.0 audio and video output

I was thinking about getting the Asus MB16AC portal monitor

    https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MB16AC/specifications/
    Signal Input : USB Type-C (USB-C or USB3.0* signal)
*DisplayLink drivers are required for USB mode, but not for USB-C mode

My question is around the Thunderbolt 3 port. Based on this monitor it will work in the port with out any issues?

Appreciate my fellow Razer friends to make sure I don't have to return the monitor =)

What will be the use of this external monitor ? Is it just for dual screen to have more screen space?

Also yes it should be plug and play with the TB3 port

I have a Thunderbolt 3 bolt on my Dell laptop, I use an external monitor via USB-C to DisplayPort with no issues.
