My current keyboard is the Huntsman Elite with the Razer Opto-Mechanical Switches, this combination lets me have a clicky touch and very fast response times!

I currently have the Razer Huntsman Elite with Linear Switches and im currently loving it. Of course after looking at all of the Razer products, specifically the keyboards, I feel I would enjoy all of them after seeing how high quality the keyboards are that Razer produces.

  4. So far out of the numerous keyboards that I have owned and I am specifically only referencing Razer Products and Razer Keyboards, the best one I have had the pleasure of using, owning, and at this very moment currently using to type up this response is the BLACKWIDOW ELITE EDITION GREEN MECHANICAL SWITCHES!

Is the Razer Red switch as quiet as the membrane keyboards?

I have an Arctosa for quite some time now and I think mechanical keyboards should be the next step.
    This is a great help!

Depends, are you looking for fast response times, comfort, looks or ergonomics?

Before I chose Razer BlackWidow, I used a standard desktop keyboard from HP.
Back then, I enjoyed the thrill of game play, rather than focusing on keyboard press.
After years of using HP keyboard, it took me a while to get use to BlackWidow; now I understand what Min-Liang Tan meant when he said, "he wanted to build a best keyboard"

If I refer HP keyboard to a "Hatchback" BW is like a "Lamborghini"
I love the feeling of each press and the performance I deliver on to the game.

Gotta give Min-Liang Tan credit for his excellent work.

Personally, most modern gaming keyboards that are out in the market (Corsair, Logitech), RAZER products have the same / similar keyboard layout.
To gain the advantage in competitive gaming, it is the keyboard switch that maters.

For fast response times, the following switches sure be your selection

    Mechanical Switch (Razer Yellow)

    Opto-Mechanical Switch (Razer Optp Red)

It's so funny how all the keyboard switches are so good quality! I mean, take Cynosa for example. I own one, and it is one of the most satisfying-feeling membrane keys I have ever felt in a membrane keyboard! Also, owning a green-switch Blackwidow Elite, I couldn't believe how good it felt to press down partially, to hear a satisfying "click".
Don't get me wrong, I've felt the other keyboards as well! The Huntsman feels too good, but also quite expensive! The Ornata is also good, but the elevation of the keyboard was not for me.

Overall, the Blackwidow Elite or Huntsman Elite get my vote! The wrist-rests are durable and incredibly soft, the media keys work fine, and then switches itself...man, Cherry MX have got nothing on these! Not to mention, the RGB! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:

i like my huntsmans elite-red switch more and more as i use it, i was on greens. and pre razer i was on cherry mx blue. i have the pokemon ornata which is fine also, but the tron keyboard i got is way too wide, but looks cool.

Currently I'm using BlackWidow Chroma V2 keyboard with Razer Green (clicky) mechanical switches. The wrist rest is fantastic, and really helpful on long gaming sessions.
My next keyboard will be with lineal switches (dunno if it'll be mechanical or optical) :)

I went with huntsman red switches was on green. I welcome the quieter feel as now I’m working from home, not just playing games. If you need to work from home, it more acceptable to everyone to keep the noise down a bit.
