When you're not using your computer for gaming or the internet, what else do you use your computer for? I use my Blade a lot for production work, everything from photo and video editing to sound production. But truth be told, I use it a LOT for gaming. When I'm done with my work of course :wink_: Like and comment for a chance at the weekly "Great" achievement. I'd love to hear the different ways you all use your gaming rigs. - - - About Razer Silver: Razer Silver is the only loyalty rewards credits backed by Razer. Growing up as a kid and even up to my early college days, a huge problem was that I never had enough games. When I got my NES for my birthday the only games I had were the ones that came with it: Duck Hunt and Gyromite. We didn't have much money, so the games were far and a few between and anytime I got my hands on a game, I played the living daylights out of it. Fast forward to today, sprinkle in some hard work and whip up a batch of first world problems and I have found myself with the opposite. Now that I'm making my own money, I find myself buying games that I never get around to playing. Maybe there's a part of me that feels like I'm making up for the lack that was prevalent when I was a kid. Regardless, I have this huge backlog of games and with work and life, I feel like there's never enough time. Do you have a backlog? If so, how big? Do you think you'll ever get to it? This is the thread of the week, share your stories!
For months now I've talked about hacking away at my backlog and although I've taken a break after Bioshock 1, I have to say, I've done a pretty good job of going through my Steam library. I still have a lot to go and hot take, I'm lowkey glad that Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed because of my backlog. Our current global situation has made it easier to focus on getting a lot of gaming in and I feel like I may be able to catch up before Cyberpunk is released because I expect that game to eat me alive. How's everyone else doing on their backlogs? Any progress? Or are you frozen, staring at the ceiling trying to figure out what life is? That this is all one giant MMO and everything is freakin' meta - not that I was doing any of this over the weekend 😅. Like and comment for a chance to score a nice chunk of Silver. Working at Razer has its perks, one of which is getting eyes on some of the new products coming out. I don't get to see everything that comes out, but I get to see some of the bigger, more exciting things. Take the Huntsman Mini for example, which we launched today. I've been anticipating its launch because it was something that I know fans have been asking for. I, myself am a fan. I, too have the requests that many of you have. "I wish we had this feature," or "why don't we implement this or that." It can be frustrating, but then there are times where the things you want, start to happen and it's not just exciting for myself because, selfishly, I get what I want, but unselfishly, I know that people will be getting what they've been asking for. This thread is in no way an invitation to submit ideas. It doesn't work that way for a million reasons, BUT, for all intents and purposes of this thread, I'd love to know what feature you find in many other products that aren't featured on R
Just noticed this (screenshot): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WNW71miyZjz7xGUg6Fh4GnJ6NBpNmRBh Razer Central constantly uploads SHITLOAD of data from my computer to the internet!! Better have a good reason why app that updates my usb mouse software, and does literally NOTHING ELSE, needs to do that Razer. Because i don't see why updating mouse driver twice a year requires GIGABYTES of my data getting constantly smuggled out to god knows where. This is sketchy as all fucks Razer! Are you stealing my shit? Are you spying on me? WTF are you doing Razer?!? already blocked it but i demand answers. what are you uploading. what are you doing with that. how is that necessary for my usb mouse to work.
Allot of people that I know think razer as a bad brand but is that really the truth. I asked some people "what is your favourite gaming brand'' and allot answered corsair and steelseries and some razer. So I asked one of my friends why they dislike razer so much and he answerd that their products are bad quallity and that their to expensive for what they offer. So I went on an investigastion and found that the products that razer is selling are most of the time the same price as the other companies. Another reason why people dislike razer is because of their warranty on their products, they think that the warranty that razer is offering is to low. I can see the point of that but after 1,5 years of usage you can acpect some products breaking because of bad behavior. You probably think that all of this is not important, I am new to this so don't judge me to hard on this one. I would like that everyone that reads this tells me their opinion about this below.
Hey Insiders, In a world of social media, Reddit and instant gratification, community forums are becoming more of a niche destination for fans to congregate and engage in conversations. Insider is always looking for ways to create a better experience for you, our fans and we'd love to hear your thoughts. What would you like to see more of on Insider? What could we improve upon? Please bear in mind, this isn't an ideation thread and we're not looking to implement new features, but more so to improve upon and grow existing ones. Additionally, general complaints that do not work to contribute to the conversation of growth on Insider will be deleted. All other threads should go in their appropriate forums. Thanks a lot and we're looking forward to reading your thoughts!
As technology improves, we see newer, better ways to interact with software and the world around us. We started with mechanical switches and buttons, to command lines and graphical input devices. We graduated to touch screens on mobile phones and gestures, to voice command and now we're entering a stage of virtual and augmented reality. Controllers on consoles with every generation finds a new way to interact and play games, but the pc still remains staunchly mouse and keyboard. What's next? Will we be using keyboards and mice 20 years from now to play games? It's hard to say. Something as simple as touch screen completely changed the way mobile phones are used, but touch screen wasn't a new thing. It was simply utilized better and backed up by better tech. I'd love to know your thoughts in this week's Thread of the Week. One of my major gripes with music remixes are simple beat swaps. Same song, same tempo, new beat. Sometimes a really good beat will change the song, but I prefer a remix be a very different version of the song. Many would disagree, but it's always been a pet peeve of mine when a remix was simply a beat swap. There's a good chance that many of you will be busy running the streets of Midgar doing all the Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake-things. It's an impressive game and an even more impressive "remake" which begs the question: How much should an updated/revisited game be changed? Every now and then I appreciate an HD remaster of an old game. For tech reasons I feel like it's much needed, otherwise it looks so dated it's off-putting. Final Fantasy VII Remake blew the roof off my expectations. It changed everything, even down to the gameplay system. Generally, I think people would have been satisfied with a remaster of the game, but it would have been the same game, just prettier. I whol
Like any normal human being playing against other people, I can get tilted. It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen. There have even been a few times I wasn't very proud of myself after I was tilted half passed the equator. Generally, however, I'm pretty well humored and often shrug off a lot of negativity. Sometimes I find myself being a lot nicer than I normally would be outside of the game, especially when playing World of Warcraft. I often wonder if it has something to do with the progressive-cooperative nature compared to Overwatch where it's a cooperative-competitive game. What about the rest of you? Are you consistent with your offline self? Or do you find that you're meaner or perhaps, nicer when playing a game with others? This is your Thread of the Week. As we get closer to the Holidays I feel more inclined to hand out Silver :wink_:.

I see the product returns on the side of the building where I work (pre-pandemic). I have come to the conclusion that there are two kinds of people: those who take care of their stuff and those who don't. Saying "those who don't" by the way, is putting it nicely - I have seen some things and OMG people, please take better care of your things! I'm definitely on the side of being super meticulous about how I take care of my stuff, especially my Razer gear. For this week's Thread of the Week, I want to hear your tips and tricks in taking care of your Razer gear. Do you treat it with special care? I'd love to hear them. Who knows, maybe I'll compile a list of user best practices - should be fun. I'll start with mine: With my Blade, if I'm not charging it and I'm not using it, I unplug the power from it. I've had bad luck in the past with other machines; power surges and what-not and it's become a habit. It's peace-of-mind, but if you don't need to charge your Blade, I feel like it do
The safer at home procedures put in place for many of us during this pandemic have undoubtedly changed the way a lot of businesses engage their customers. For some industries it's a natural progression, for others it presents much steeper challenges. The Summer Game Fest is among us, brought to us by Jeff Keighley who brings us the annual Game Awards. With E3 and Gamescom being canceled and big developers and publishers pulling out of future events due to the uncertainty of our current state of affairs this is a great opportunity for companies to take advantage of the internet space. Blizzard does a great job of delivering an electronic experience for those that can't go to Blizzcon. Nintendo started their Nintendo Directs in lieu of an E3 presence years ago and has now become a fan favorite and a reason for fans to lose their shit. My hope is that a lot of what was supposed to be revealed at E3 and other shows this year come to fruition during the Summer Game Fest. What about you
The other day I was getting ready for a heavy gaming session: turned up the AC, filled up my water bottle and put on my sleeve. It's quite literally a slick fabric that goes on my arm. I use an Acari and because it's a hard mat, my arm tends to grip which leads to all kinds of annoyances and performance hindrances while playing games. This realization also led me to understand why esports players wear long sleeves. It's a simple hack to get me to play my best - which isn't all that great btw, but one day I'll be champion of the wood league and move onto a precious medal like bronze. Hello friends, Video games never cease to impress me with their graphic quality, their realism. Unreal Engine does photorealistic technical prowess, it's impressive. New screens have a lot to visual improvement and fluidity. But these powerful artificial light sources can strain our eyes and damage them if we're not careful. This week, I'm going to ask you if you use software or hardware features, specific settings to protect your eyes. I will tell you what I recommend, do not hesitate to give me your advice. Dark mode.
I activate Dark mode systematically to reduce brightness and blue light. Because white background attacks my eyes too much. On AMOLED screens, it also saves energy, because black color is simply LED off, very interesting on laptop to increase autonomy. For my next screen I want will be AMOLED. 😊
Screen brightness adjustment.
The backlight of my IPS screen consumes electricity and attacks my eyes. So I reduce it as much as

What do you guys think Razer will showcase in CES 2019? CES 2017 featured Project Valerie and Project Ariana. CES 2018 featured Project Linda and other products. While the above featured concept products, Razer also unveils some of the products they're planning to release for the year. Last year at CES 2018, Razer revealed the Razer Nommo, the Razer Mamba Hyperflux + Firefly Hyperflux, and a collaboration with Netflix and Philips Hue. For CES 2019, we know that Razer will be collaborating with Microsoft for a new product for Xbox One. We should be expecting more to come aside from this, especially if Razer wants to win the Best of CES award again after failing to do so for 2018. My guess for their big reveal is the shortly leaked "Razer Opus" which is likely to be an audio related device. I'm also guessing and hoping that the next would be Synapse 3 supporting more legacy devices such as the Naga Epic, Orbweaver Chroma, Kraken 7.1 V2, Tiamat 7.1 V2, and others. Another could be a R
Nintendo is my all-time favorite console brand. Hands down. Sure, Sony and Microsoft have the prettier graphics and sound, but I consider myself a die-hard Nintendo fan and save for the Wii U, I've owned every console they've produced since the NES and yes, that includes the Virtual Boy. Due to the pandemic forcing many brands to rethink and change their strategies many announcements that would have been saved for big trade events or press gatherings have had other ways to make themselves known to the public. Nintendo for example has been seemingly announcing game release dates randomly. Let's take this morning for example. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity a canon prequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. No leaks, no heads up, no teases, just a plain and simple, "OHAI2U." The same thing happens sometimes with our own products. I'll check my work email and see an announcements for a new product we launched. However, although I love the shadow dropped announcements on Nintendo's side,

Unless you're always on top of the tech curve, like most of us, at one point our hardware starts to show its age and we start flipping a bunch of switches and turning dials just to get the framerate tolerable. Framerate I've found is a personal taste. I've seen people be ok with 15 fps just to get the prettiest of visuals, while others go straight for the mud just to see their frames fly high. Which one are you? Do you prefer a buttery framerate or prettier graphics? Like and comment for a chance at the weekly Silver reward. Good answers may also bring you extra Silver. - - - About Razer Silver: Razer Silver is the only loyalty rewards credits backed by Razer. What do you guys think about it? I personally really dont like that its not 4K because nowadays its just standard with the new consoles coming out soon and all the strong graphics cards right now. It would be the perfect monitor if it was 4K and would stay at the same price point. I think it should come out this fall but if not maybe they work on it more and add the 4K display that would be pretty cool!
I wanted one so badly as a kid. What does gaming look like 20 years from now? Let your imagination run wild! We'll follow the same format as last week for giving out Silver. One person will be chosen at random for the big win and two others will be chosen for the quality of their responses.
