Hello. I wanted to buy the Razer Phone a couple months ago. It was $550 then. Now that I have the money, I went to buy it, and it went to $700+ now? What happened? All the specs are the same. The updates are the same. Why did the phone go so high in price? Thanks. Well, nevermind, I just refreshed, and its now back to $550-$650. Why does it keep going way up and down in price? Is it availability? 1 question: Will the phone be updated to a 128GB phone? Thats the only thing I want that the Razer doesnt have, but Note9 does have (but I HATE the Dex and curved screen and Edge, I would rather have my old Note 4 back than this cruddy S8). (well, not the ONLY thing, I want a stylus with it also. My Note4 was brilliant with the stylus, and not having one, especially integrated into the phone so I dont lose it, was wonderful). Thanks. Oh man. The phone is now $400? I wish I had the money right now, but I wont until next month. Also, specs(ish) of the 2 just released, and its much more in-line with what I want: More memory (512gb), SD845, and still a square screen and large footprint (I STILL hate my S8, I have dropped it 100x more than my note 4 I had for 4 years, and the S8 I have had for only a few months). I also really dislike the rolled glass edges, and I hope the 2 doesnt have them (or I will just get the 1st one). https://wccftech.com/razer-phone-2-traditional-qhd-display-512gb-storage/ The only thing I dont like, is that it wont be available in the USA until later in 2019. I can get a Note 9 (I LOVED my Note 4) right now, with all similar specs, except it has everything I hate (listed above). Maybe if I get the note 9 I wont drop it so much since it will be larger, but I want the Razer 2 with the 845 and the square phone and screen and 512gb memory, those awesome speakers, AND a built in pen! I hate to give it up to Samsung, but even gaming is easier for handicapped people with a stylus, and their built-in holder makes it not only easy to use, but also easy to NOT lose. This is the only other thing I want with the 2: A built in stylus. Well, a built in stylus and maybe some of those rounded ear buds (for when the wife is asleep at night). That would be the ultimate.
I'm sure next month there will be additional discounts. I just bought the Samsung EVO Plus sdcard, Class 10 with 128gb at Best Buy for $37.
The problem with external cards is that Android wont let you use them correctly since 3.xxx Sure, IF the app even lets you apply it to the ext card, AND if it doesnt copy everything to the os even though it says its on the ext card (happens WAY more than you would think), it still uses the OS/User drive internal to do almost everything. I have a 128GB ext card (10X also), and my 16GB internal on my tablet is already full, and I only have a handful of stuff on it, equaling 5GB. So, 16GB internal, + 128GB External, and the OS is out of room except for 400MB. Thats why I want a 128-512GB internal OS drive. External drives dont do much anymore except maybe take 1/4 of what you have installed, and even that might be replicated on the OS drive anyway.
Yeah, I definitely am. Although if the old phone price goes even lower, I just might have to bite on it.
Best buy is discontinuing the Razer cell phone and has it marked down to $165. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/razer-...ilver/6233145.p?skuId=6233145&ref=166&cmp=RMX UPDATE: They are now sold out. I was able to get one ordered before they did.
Oh man! I just missed it! I saw one (used, brought back) at BestBuy the other day, for $499. The phone felt great in my hand, and looked great also. I wish I could have gotten that $165 price, I definitely would have bought one, even if it was used! Sad I didnt get a chance. Razer? Would you price match them?
Well, bit the bullet and went with Asus! Sorry Razer. But, to have such bad speakers and everything at launch, at what is basically the SAME phone as the 1st version, I had to go with Asus this time. I hope the 3rd iteration or 4th will be worth it for me. I really did try to buy the 1st RP also, everywhere, on a good sale, but they never went low enough for me to trade an S8 for a RP1.
