Any with smaller form factor aka no num pad? I tend to like to save space.

I was looking at the Black Widow Ultimate. I have one already but I don't realt have anything to compare it to. It is not quiet but not overly noisy either. I need another keyboard and I am still looking at the same one that I already have on my other computer. Maybe this time I will try the Chroma.
  3. This seems like a great place to post this question: what is the advantage of mechanical keyboards? does it only matter for gaming? I have used logitech input devices for most of my life, but i don't really like their current offerings - is Razer a better brand?

All the keyboards are out of stocks since the discount started.... don't know if its just to hype the brand or really sold out worldwide...

I believe the deathstalker is the most quiet. I have it and it's actually not all that quiet. It still make as much noise as normal keyboards. It'd be nice if razer made keyboards as quiet as laptop keys.

Yeah your best bet would probably be the stealth editions, though they still make a sound it isn't as loud of clicks as the standard keyboards

Yea it's like what everyone said... Mechanical keyboards are NOT completely quiet. No matter what switch u use there will always be noise from bottoming out the buttons. Follow @Philak advice and install O-ring Dampers. Do note they come in 2 sizes. Get the thicker one(blue colour) for quieter clicks.

If you're looking for a quiet keyboard, you're in the wrong place haha. Mechanical keyboards are just generally loud... unless you get one of those rubber dampers.

mechanical and quiet usually dont go in the same sentence. you could try using red switches with o-rings or something like that

The O-Rings dampen the sound you get from "bottoming out" the key press. This is not the sound of actuating the actual key press but hitting the bottom of the switch, which then resonates with the rest of the PCB of the keyboard. This gives you a sort of a *clank* sound. The O-Rings prevent you or at least reduce the sound it makes when you bottom out.
If you are perfect typist you will naturally should eventually learn to not bottom out but I don't think this is applicable for gamers in intense competitive situations ;)
