Can you tell, what is maximum liftoff distance between Mamba HyperFlux & FireFly HyperFlux, that mouse is still wirelessly charged by mousepad?

I don't have a Mamba, but this one looks different than the Mamba that I would recognize from photos. What exactly makes this one a Mamba? Really, without the Chroma strips on the sides and rounded shape, why call this a Mamba? Just curious - if anybody knows, I'd love to know the reasoning behind it.

I think he was just joking ;)
To be honest, I'm asking my self the same question. It lacks light strips (which could be implemented because of "infinite" power, but probably the voltage is too low to put more lights), it has no adjustable click force. But overall shape looks like mamba. And one thing I don't personally like, is that rubber and new Razer mice desgin makes them look completly different from older mamba or nagas, but that's just my personall thought.

As far as I can tell, the Mamba was Razers first wireless mouse back in 2009, so it is likely more of just a tribute to the Mamba, Making the Mamba also the first wireless battery-less mouse from Razer. Also, if they added the lights and such to the side might have took the whole battery thing away, or would have made it so you could not really lift it off the ground all that far without it disconnecting. I would love to see a Mamba TE that does have the classic strips on the side.

Does the mouse require a USB to connect to the PC, or does it connect via the mousepad? I'd appreciate if both could work through 1 USB port in this or the next models without bluetooth. Laptops have limited connections.

Next, I'd like to see you apply this to your full line of mice, particularly the DA and Trinity.

So how different is the Firefly Hyperflux from the original Firefly? Was planning on getting the original Firefly and then this came out.

To start, it has both hard and soft surfaces. You don't have to choose.
