Have to change that sorry for the confusion! And seems strange since you're the first one that ever said anything like it and I'm not unfamiliar with hardware. When you can OC it to approximately 4.6 or 4.7 shouldn't ever be an issue. :)

There is a significant difference between both :slightly_sad: The locked multiplier of course and then the 3820 is a quad core while the 3930K is a hexacore. ^^ Also why it costs like $200 more at the time it came out. Still a very good chip. It's the one I have on my other rig!

  5. Yeah same lol

  6. Yeah I am planning to make an x99 build once I sell my current PC. It is actually really hard to just sell a PC.

Selling a PC is almost downright impossible. I've tried lol. I just keep upgrading it. But won't go X99 for a long time. Not worth it (at least not yet). Not performance wise. And DDR4 is just outrageously stupid expensive. Would never invest my money in that.
I can keep on going for a few more years ^^

  9. Yeah, I have a GTX 970 that I just despise (Zotac sucks) and I was already planning to get x99. My dad said that if you're gonna change that much you might as well just go all out. So, I was planning to build this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Ks6P6

If you want to last a bit longer I'd go for the CPU next in line. I'm not such a fan of the XX20 series. Feel like it's an entry price and isn't worth the money.

Also 120 GB SSD is that for just the OS ? I can't go under 250 or 256 anymore. Anything below is too little for all the programs I have to install.
    Otherwise looks good man! ^^
I have a preference for Asus and Asrock boards but I've heard great things about MSI too!

  11. Might as well get a 256 for my most used programs. I saw no real reason to get the 5930k, as it just has a few more lanes and a higher clock speed for 60% more. I am actually going to get the 100ME 970 cards from MSI, and that is pretty good board. Asus seemed too much for what you get vs the MSI board (OC wise). Thanks for the suggestions.

Np man :) Anytime. If you have any other questions or want to talk hardware don't hesitate! ^^
5930K is more for people that want to use heavy usage CPU programs. If it's "only" for gaming then your choice will be the best one! It definitely is a good board.
ROG and Asus boards are often ...too well equipped and are also priced accordingly haha xD

Would the 5820k be good for Sony Vegas and Adobe editing programs? I don't have $200 and I don't think I will for a while so the 5820k should be good for a YouTube channel and streaming, right (Using GeForce Shadowplay)?
