True, but with the magic numbers, the weight can be adjusted based on the percentage that the user takes up in the entire community, and Razer's stock of rewards can help determine the weight in each category.
Of course, this is just a draft, and more or less some late night coding/derping around.

Talking of formulas.... Why not just use Reddit's?

This is awesome! Hopefully people will use it as an excuse to be active, and not just spam. Haha. Keep being awesome Razer

  7. This is why I stick by Razer. I own a blackwidow chroma, deathadder chroma, kraken neons, and a nabu x. I'm not stopping there for sure!

This is awesome! It shows you appreciate your community, thanks!

@Razer|Technokat : I hope I haven't overlooked it: Does it cost points to redeem a code or I can theoretically redeem all the rewards??

@NazgulStig At first sight your approach is good, but I think the formula is missing something or rather, they doesn't cover all users.
Take myself as an example. I do not spend an excessive amount of time in the forum, read a lot of threads, opens up (so far) no threads, but commenting on topics that interest me. That reminds me, in most cases the time and the creativity is missing ...;)

So I had no (or rather worse) chance to participate in the Reward program. I think there should be a balance between your and the current version.

@Lafar If I understand the code correctly, I think the weighting of followers a little to high ...

    EDIT:
After I've looked at both suggestions, I think there is no version of a system that covers every user behavior and is at the same time fair for all. I'm curious where the road goes.

I would definitely support both suggestions!

of course it need tons of tweaking I made it in less than 5 minutes. It needs a curve, proper weighing and testing. It was just an example to show that something like this can be implemented and in my opinion must be implemented to avoid spamming. In my formula I gave more weight to quality of posts so that is a start. ;)
    I also thought so too.
Not when I am alive. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Let's see how the Nazguls and his king Sauron rule (tro-ahhem-roll) the community!

We were once kings who ruled humans and now we are the most feared. ;)
Lord Sauron is great, he started an industry, gave people jobs, developed communication device to stay in touch with friends and project managers like Saruman and he even gave us flying pets when we lost our horses. He is very loving and generous but people misunderstand him.

This is true! For the first draft and the time you have spent, that was a good start.

I'm just saying there should the balance somewhere between those who are extremely active and entertain the community and who are not so active, but want to participate in the community should be taken in consideration.

What we must remember is the "Like" as currently used, isn't the suitable criteria to check the quality of a post. I have a feeling that some posts are good and useful get sometimes less Likes like the simple and funny one because they reflect the current situation best.

Not so easy to find something that fits all cases but I am sure together we create something great! :D

    Hm.. Question @Razer|Technokat -
Qualification to the Razer Nabu X - Insider pre-registration - Isn't the pre-reg done now?

To me followers = sign of approval from the community. You can't force people to follow you, just like Razer can't force people to join the Cult. Technokat did mention adding features to the news feed if I recall correctly...

What if the spam was indirect or hidden in a way that made it seem that it wasn't spam? ;)
