  1. Hello,

I am a Razer fan. I use blackwidow chroma stealth keyboard, razer deathadder 2013 and razer hammerhead pro v1.

I use my hammerhead pro v1 for about 2 years+. It was the best audio device I had in my entire life.
Sound quality was good and very light weighted and comfortable to wear. Can wear it for long hour gaming.
Recently, my hammerhead pro v1 insulator wear off and wiring is exposed. I was sad warranty is over and decided to purchase hammerhead pro v2.

In the end, it was a nightmare using v2. The back of the earpiece was super big and heavy. It is extremely uncomfortable wearing it. Worst is if u laugh, yawn or make any sort facial expression, your ear will feel super painful.

To add on, the sound quality was bad and the volume is way too loud. need to reduce system volume. reducing system volume is a troublemaker as usually I set my system volume and in game volume to a comfortable volume for my v1 and my speaker has a volume control so no issue. but when system volume is reduce because of v2, my speaker can't produce loud enough volume even at max volume on the control and hence must keep adjust the system volume.

It comes with few size of earbud and that is the reason to let you use the earbud suitable for you. And where do you bought your Hammerhead Pro v2? There are many counterfeit Hammerhead in the market including v2. If you are bought Razer store, you may get a faulty unit and should make RMA. If you are not bought from Razer store, you may bought a counterfeit Hammerhead.

thats interesting i was looking for an in ear solution for on the go and travel. i bought sienheizer buds cause they had great reviews... they were terrible quality sounds. so i got the hammerhead v2 and love them. I do have to say they aren't the most comfortable earpieces... but that is how i feel about all in ear headphones... they bruise my ears after hours of use. I would have over ear any day of the week but traveling for a business meeting and arriving with monster size headsets isn't very professional

ohhh those look interesting... do they just swap out no problem?
  6. God damn it. hammerhead pro v2 i bought is original and already successfully register the warranty on razer synapse. We singapore don't sell counterfeit shit.

I am not refering to the rubber tip. I am refering the back of the earpiece itself. Is too big. It fits uncomfortable. When u laugh it make your ear feel pain. Please go read review from amazon.

Brother mdaly thanks for understanding my pain. Try laughing and yawning more or eat while u use it. Your ear will need to see the doctor. Painfull shit. Poor design by razer.

I normally use the smallest tips from Razer, so I guess the small comply ear tips should fit?

They are more like the adaro than the First hammered.

I felt the same way with my Adaros. Sound quality was pretty damn good, I just couldn't use them since they hurt my ears. At first it just hurt even when I wasn't moving my face around. Then it stopped hurting when face was idle, and only hurt when I moved my face (ears). Now it doesn't hurt at all.
I gave it a few weeks, and the pain disappeared. I seriously thought I would have to return the Adaro IEMs...But I'm glad I didn't.

Try giving it a few weeks. Meanwhile, if they're falling out, use bigger eartips (or the Comply ones I linked above).

    ... in what regard?

Doesn't this mean Razer increased the efficiency for the Hammerheads? (Kinda a good thing)

I had the exact opposite problems haha. They fit very well without any kind of problems, but the sound has too many heights.

And the cable broke 3 times ....
  11. Review from amazon.

    Hi Lafar. Thanks for reply.
It is pointless using hh v2. I doubt changing earbug will helps.
Look at those pointy and sharp spikes at the back of the earpiece.
Horrible design. Sound quality is bad. hh v1 got good sound quality.
As I am not using the front port for my earpiece (using the back), it does produce buzzing sound when playing a game (will notice during very quiet moment of a game. Game music will cover up the buzzing sound)
This is unavoidable due to too many electronic interference at the back.
For v1, it is unnoticeable but for v2 it is very noticeable.
