I'm very impressed with this ultrabook.
Good job winning again
prety nice to see that razer got awarded 1 more year hopefully we can get a razer monitor soon o.o
There is a Razer monitor already...
Congrats! The Razer Core is a nice machine, although I hoped for a Razer 15 and 17 with "Infinity Edge"-like displays. As I read, these updates will propably be anounced separately, later this year, in spring.
Please lower the notebook prices for Europeans. 2999 Euro for a Razer Blade14 with 256GB SSD is way too much.
Not to get into politics here, but your IVA/VAT taxes don't help. Here in the US, taxes are not included in the price (normally around 6-7%).
Europe builds that into the price, around 18-20%
Im very excited about the watch and the webcam. Wonder what size the watch will be. Razer never disappoints always excited what they they bring to the CES each year
Awesome stuff, thanks Razer!
Soon, it will happen.
Over 10, 15, 20 years the USD-price has been converted to Euro directly, one-to-one, independently of any exchange rate. And although no international acting company of this size would get its money to a bank and transfer it to the US, when the Euro is that weak, let's calculate with the current rate:
2399 USD = 2197 Euro
2197 Euro * 1,19 (German taxes) = 2615 Euro
And again: Razer/Lenovo (the distributor in Europe) will never ever exchange their currently earned Euros to USD. Thinking like that would be naive. Read one of the articles of 2013 about Apple loaning 17 billion USD, in order to avoid taxes when paying out the devidend to the shareholders. The European money will be sent to (legal) offshore havens, reinvested locally, whatever, anything but transferred to the US.
A Dell XPS 15 with a 512GB SSD, GTX 960M, Skylake, 84Wh battery and aluminium unibody costs 2199 Euro incl. taxes and shipping costs. Students pay 10 percent less (1979 Euro). Razer doesn't even offer any student discount for their systems.
That's not competitive, a Razer Blade 14 with 512GB has an overwhelming price of 3375 Euro. That makes 3098 USD, without German taxes.
And remember my sentences above. The Euro is extremly weak at the moment. So Razer profits twice, when exchanging the money later. The Europeans are being milked like a cow, this price policy is ridiculous. Razer will sell much more units, when they adapt their prices to the local market.
Even Apple is very much cheaper and that is saying something, although they also increased their prices for European citizens drastically.
Razer JUST started selling Blades in Europe. It costs money to ship laptops there, distribute, provide customer service and returns/exchanges.
Here in the US, shipping costs from China to California are nearly nothing, and Razer has a well developed distribution platform. By your own admission, Razer is currently charging about 300 euros more than they should. Those costs include all of the above, AND currency risk. I studied in Europe when the Euro was 1.40+, now it is much less but it can still rise.
I'm impressed by all the new products they came out with this year at CES compared to previous years. They all seem really cool. Thanks for taking the time to come out with new things as well as improve the old ones such as the app for the nabu, and update was much needed.
So now i am waiting for a sale ~.~
Great Job Razer..... Razer is lover for gamers wohoooo
It's a Lenovo monitor (Ew, Lenovo); plus everyone that wants a Razer monitor, wants one directly from and developed by Razer, not this co-branded stuff that's minimal redesigning and has Razer's name slapped onto it.
Dont know why im even joining, bcuz i never win something xD
Yea, and min liang said that
Yea, and min liang said stealth was a very good ultra book for its price. But I guess it only applies to the US. It's going to be more expensive in other country including cabana europe
Razer Blade Stealth Ultrabook is cool, good price. I don't see much use in the external GPU extension, just get a desktop if you want more power. Also Dell tried this with an Alienware graphics amplifier which IMHO hasn't sold like they thought. Still an interesting idea to get more power. Still, its cool to see out of the box thinking so to speak.
Good Job Razer.
