    Hello all Razer fans...

I have been trying (and failing) to get hold of the Razer Core here in the UK, the U.S site only shows refurb units. i have tried the support ticket router, but they seem to only see the same as me "We are currently out of stock and may have items soon, please check back later"

Thats a great idea, but i cannot chance this is the crucial part of a system build for my S.O

The idea is the Razer stealth 2017, the core and a GTX1080Ti to boot. The poor girl absolutely LOVES gaming, but currently has a potato, the living arrangements mean she is limited for space and this would be so cool for her! The whole thing relies on the core being available!

I am super-aware of the 15-20% performance drop expected when using the CORE vs 1080Ti in a desktop, and im happy with that, and she will be over the moon with it.

Are we seeing the end of the Core entirely? do i have to try something ugly instead (asus ROG) or something horribly proprietry (Alienware)

Any info would be greatly appreciated! This could make 2 new, very keen Razer fans!

Refurbished ain't that bad. I've never owned a core before or any type of Razer Laptop, but I've bought other items before that are refurbished, from Apple for instance and I've found that they're generally as good as brand new. Sure they have some minor scuffs and dings, but they work for what I need it for. Plus its better then paying a million dollars for a brand new item.

I'd stay away from alienware whatever you end up doing. I had to go thru 3 laptops before the service calls stopped.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for that Hucast, if no further info comes through about the UK availability i will get a US item shipped over, it really is the crux of the whole system!

I was yesterday on gamescom asking the core availability on staff in Razer stand, because they are promoting it with Blade family there, Staff said also please check back later. But since it out of stock for quite a while even in US I'm assuming they are working on the USB port issue or maybe will release something new like V2. Let's see after IFA 2017 in Berlin, i hope this time some one from Razer in Hamburg will be there who could answer my tech questions, since on gamescom was not all Razer staff (some staff are from partner resellers).

That is interesting, no real information, i need a core in my hand by the last week of october, lets hope its possible, any wait and the plan is ruined and i will have to go elsewhere for not only an enclosure, but laptop and all add ons...

Like you say, razer push the core as a large plus of buying the laptops, the fact it is not available is a shame, but the fact that NO ONE takes questions on availability seriously enough to answer is annoying!

In gamescom Razer booth showd Blades family and the core that plugged on the stealth which is nice because a lot of poeple who don't know about GPU enclosure seems admired it, and in fact even mid 2017 it's still the best looking combo out there. But when i said to the staff (who I think not from Razer but reseller here) that it's not available since quite a while , and he answered with question, is it not available? and said Please check later for its availability, I got 10% systems Sale from resellers which is nice though;) I think Razer should put experience staff on such big events to be able to answer such a simple public question, at least answered that it will available in short of time because it out of stock at the moment etc.
