    Some background info, please:
    What operating system?
    What version of Synapse?
Do you see a tab that refers to "customize"?

Ok, I am installing Synapse 2 on a laptop right now. Because I'm currently on a Mac, and the other laptop is the Windows machine, I can't post screenshots, but maybe I can give some clear directions.

Ok, in Syapse 2.21 with my Death Adder Elite plugged in:

Under the "LIGHTING" tab, the default seems to have both zones linked.
Below where it says "BOTH ZONES" there is a tab that says "EFFECT".

    Do you see this?

Just underneath that, it should read "Spectrum Cycling" which is the default effect.
If you click on "Spectrum Cycling", you should get a drop-down menu with all of the available effects.
"Static" should be just below "Spectrum Cycling" in the menu.
Once you click on "Static" you should be given a small box filled with Razer Green.
Clicking on that green box should give you the option to change the color.

Did you find all of that, or are you still only given the option to turn the lighting on and off?

Hmm is that one of the old Deathadders before the Chroma? Those you can't change anything except on (one color breathing) or off.

You can just turn on and off lighting in this version of DeathAdder. You can't make it static.
