I'm totally hyped about the keys. Personally I love mechanical keys for their feeling, but the low profiles of the ciqlet keyboards are much more comfortable and faster to press.
I hope they will implement them in another deathstalker, or maybe even something completly new

Was all excited when I read "Mechanical Keyboard Case" up there in the banner.

Then I proceeded to read ..."For iPad" ... awwwww :slightly_sad:

It's kind of cool that it makes the iPad look like a Blade. I find it oddly satisfying that the Razer THS logo covers the :apple: . . . wait, was that your plan all along Razer ?

Really wish this was designed for the Microsoft Surface Pro line though.

This really should have been designed for the surface... Or better yet, Razer's own tablet!

Here is what you do. Take these tiny mechanical switches, put a gpu under them, then make a tablet with all the innards of the Blade Stealth. Boom Razer Edge 2.0, an answer to the surface book. Primary issue with the Edge is that while it is FANTASTIC when docked as a mobile desktop, they keyboard on the dock is just.... awful, it is just awful and the screen isn't sensitive enough to use a stylus (though the screen is gorgeous, great color reproduction). Because of this I don't even bother using my Edge in class. Though I still use the crap out of it as a mobile desktop at other people's houses.

More sensitive screen, put the guts of the stealth behind it, then have a gpu under this keyboard dock and boom Edge 2.0 with all the issues fixed. Just hire me already.

This keyboard looks to be much different than the other ones on the market at the moment these have a tactile mechanical bump. after extended hours of using this keyboard for work I absolutely love it, and the way it feels.

For iPad writers and mechanical keyboard enthusiasts, this is gonna be a dream.

For me, being both, this is gonna be my new birthday present to myself.

Nice keyboard although it won't have the keyboard pairing that the official keyboard has which I think is a key feature

Damn, that is some cool new tech right there, but i might not buy it because I don't use Ipads, I use the blade stealth :)
  16. Well, if you enjoy using it then it serves it's purpose, so I'm glad that you enjoy it!

Pretty much right on target, except it probably should be named Razer Edge V2 :kissing_smiling_eyes:

If Razer makes an ultrabook hybrid like the Surface with gaming capabilities, Day 1 purchase for me. Even though Apple crapped on Microsoft's design, I think the hybrid form factor makes so much sense for a touchscreen. Now Apple's iPad Pro is starting to look eerily similar to the Surface line...lol. The Blade Stealth is nice and all, but I don't think a clamshell laptop can take full advantage of the touchscreen.

You said that this thing would fix all the issues with the old Razer Edge, but I think it'll fix all the Blade's problems too. Separating the GPU from the other components should give you more thermal headroom to deal with heat issues. They could also put a larger battery into it too. It's presumably not easy to make something like this...even Microsoft with all its resources took a few official iterations to get it right. But like I said, if this dream ever comes true...Day 1.

I could see this branching off to many other devices and this can be a game changer for people who are sick of using membrane keyboards.
