Good work guys!
I can only agree, the Razer switches ARE great!
feels a bit better compared to the cherry mx blues i have...
that is the first time i read that. well i guess most of the people really prefer MX cherry keys. but i guess it is just a matter of how you will use them or take care of them. i've been hearing a lot from my friends that after using Razer kb with razer keys for 2-6months it is already acting up. "keys that are double typing, the green keys turning into orange keys" but i dunno maybe they are getting the products that are not that "good" or the QA didnt noticed those defects? hopefully Razer will look on this matter since their product is well kinda expensive. you will earn a lot of dissatisfied customer if they keep on experiencing that
well, i'll be sure to look out for that
I really want to try this new switches ((( kudos razer!
They really need to make a TKL backlit stealth (orange/browns), either light the TE or add stealth keys to BW TE Chroma.
Good keys though, well done.
I Freakin' love my Green switch keyboard
So, are razers switches cherry MX or a build of them?
Razer's Keyboards are remarkable
They're similar to Cherry MX switches.
As mentioned in multiple posts/sources, Razer's switches are designed for gaming. Razer's switches have a lower reset value compared to Cherry MX switches, which were designed for typing.
I love the video, it's look like a movie. I also love the Razer's keyboards.
Love this new switches.
I bought a Black Widow TE back in 2014 and had problems with the USB jack and ended up selling it. It had blues. I'm interested in the green switch version of the chroma keyboard the X, but I am scared about build quality since I have had issues in the past.
depends on people who are using it. but i've read a lot of negative reviews with Razer keys.
but are they really even that good?
I ended up buying it and i love it.
gg, it is a really great keyboard
So I just purchased a new Blackwidow Chroma. As much as I preferred the appearance of the Blackwidow X Chroma to the original, I really wanted the USB passthrough so I went with the original. I did find out something rather interesting with Razer's green switches.
While I was in Best Buy I happened to compare the Ultimate 2016 to the Chroma. I thought I was going crazy because the keys / switches felt very different. The Ultimate switches felt squishy, loose (had play), and were inconsistent even just between the 4 arrow keys. The Chroma switches felt firm, tight (no play), and were consistent as all 4 arrow keys felt exactly the same. I thought I was going crazy! They were both advertised to have Razer green switches. So I pulled an arrow key off of each of them. The Ultimate switches had Razer stamped on them, as well as the Kailh logo. The Chroma switches only had Razer stamped on them.
So after doing some searching, I found out why. Razer now produces all of their switches in house. Their original Razer Green switches were produces by Kailh. The new X models launched with the new in house switches, and all Blackwidow models should now be shipping with them. BUT, stores / distributors with "older" stock will likely still have Blackwidow's with Kailh made switches for a while yet.
The difference between the two was crazy to me! Obviously the Ultimate 2016 at my local Best Buy is of "older" stock and the Chromas are of "newer" stock.
That's good to hear! It's a pain to google anything regarding Razer switches since everything is about the older style which seemed to be not well received. Hopefully your experience with the new ones will be a sign of good things to come. I'm tempted to go to the local best buy and do a comparison for myself. I'm going to get a X once stealth is available and all those are coming out with the new switches from the start.
Read my post above. If you hear anyone complain about their Razer switches, have them pull a key off. I can guarantee you there will be a Kailh logo stamped under Razer on them. In other words, if their Blackwidow with Razer switches is more than a month or so old, it will definitely have the inferior switches.
Looks perfect, gonna get my hands on this very soon. Not sure to get TE or not.
