If it's the picture of the guy giving thumbs up with a razer jacket on I don't see the track pad buttons. I think it might be a stealth.
  2. Definitely the New Blade 14.

See the separation at the bottom of this picture? If you zoom in on the pictures of that guy, you'll see the same thing. Plus, the thickness of the laptop also resembles the 14. The bezels on the left and right are smaller than the top, unlike the stealth which are all uniform.

Nope, it's definitely a blade, I can make out the buttons on the trackpad.

Its a little annoying how they can give people free units before they server paying customers who have waited months... sure plubicity and all, but you couldnt wait untill regular people got them untill you started handing them out for free?

By Gamers, For Gamers, eh? More like the rich gamers with lots of publicity, instead of all of us normal gamers who are actually BUYING their products instead of getting them for free. Plus there's the fact that all of us who have actually PAID for their Blades aren't getting them for another few weeks!

Buy XPS 15 before new blade is announced. check
Like it for 2wks but see new blade, start 2wk wait for return process immediately. check
Pre-order blade too late to get free game. check
Shipping delay from April 25th to May 18th. check
Order also too late to get may 3rd update email. check
Check the forums everyday for updates but only succeed in checking my own privilege.

Worst impulse buy ever, I'm now two months without it lol

Still loyal to Razer and I'm glad they are getting it right rather than releasing it with bugs. With every extra day though, I think I should have bough a 4x $500 computers and given three as gifts, spread some happiness. I could still play "Civ. 4 fall from heaven" and watch porn on a $500 computer.

BUT I know I'll love my blade when I do get it. I'll take my pre-order self to change.org and check my privilege there ; ) You should too. Help somebody you don't know.

I would have kept the xps, it's such a beautiful laptop and the screen kills anything razer will put out. You did all that for a few more fps in games from a card that will be outdated in 60 days :\

Whoo we finally got a statement from Razer on Min-Liang Tan's Facebook. It's nice to know there is an actual logical reason for the delay (the earth quake in Japan messed with the production at Sony).
I just don't know why they didn't mention anything sooner.
But an answer is an answer.

Hopefully Dell has actually learned how to put a computer together with the XPS.
I've had nothing but sorrow and pain from their laptops, since they are so cheaply made.
I had one have the power button cave in because it was made on the hinge.
Another one I opened it one day and the part around the screen just chacked off.
Not to mention all of the other issues I've had with them.
The XPS seems nice but I'm afraid of Dells.

Had a xps 13 last year and it was a high quality machine. Saw the xps 15 at best buy the other day and the 4k edgeless screen is something to see. I'm just waiting to see what is announced / shown at computex in June. The explanation is nice, but it's a little too little too late for me.

Min-Liang Tan posted this on facebook:

One of the reasons for the delay/limited supplies of the new Razer Blade and Blade Stealth is that one of the key components of the system, the camera sensor, is made by Sony in Kumamoto, Japan.
The recent earthquake on 14 April affected shipments of our key components and led to the delays in the launch of the Blade and limited supply of the Stealth.
Shipments have since resumed and we look forward to catching up with the demand of the Blade systems.
Our apologies and our thoughts go out to all those affected by the earthquake in Japan.

    folk i have no clue.
his response seems reasonable to me, and its better than silence.
plus i have'nt cancelled my core order, so i will be patiently waiting 4 both to show up.

Reasonable excuse by itself sure.....but the earthquake was in mid April and the first delay was in March 27th due to an "update from Intel". They obviously didn't have the cameras at that point either otherwise some would be in stock by now. And if they didn't have cameras then, why use an Intel update excuse? And why have a Mar 31 release date without critical components on hand??

It's looking more and more like all these excuses are just smoke and mirrors to cover up that their planning and supply chain sucks. I get it - they don't want to show weakness. I think, in this case though, it would have been better for them to say nothing at all. Now I'm going to have a hard time believing anything that's said...
