And there it is. Heaven on Earth. I think I can convince my work that I can use salary sacrifice for this, for sure.

@Razer|Technokat - What's the word on a UK/EU release? It's only showing on the USA store page.

    Pre-ordered, the 256gb FHD version.

This should be future proof for a few years, and if I want higher-resolution gaming can hook up an external monitor with the Core.

Just curious, is there a reason the 1060 was chosen over the 1070 this time?

This is great news and all, but really really hope the EU release isn't far away! Im about to have to start working away from home and this would be the perfect companion!

Heat. The 1060 and the 970M have similar heat, whereas the 1070 would be far too hot for a laptop this thin.

So far I've been right, just need an EU release now and I can finally get this

The TDP of the 1070 was higher than the 970M which would mean hotter temperatures, and as it is, u aint gonna have a nice time with a blade hotter than it already was

Thermals. The 1060 is the thermal equivalent of the 970m, now that nVidia is no longer creating "Mobile" versions of it's GPUs.

Forget about the naming convention, this is a better card than a "1070m" would have been.

Why can't I preorder this in Canada? I clicked the buy now and it redirect to 970m version.

The previous gen has 970M. The 1060 is more of a desktop grade GPU and not a mobile edition for laptops. Therefore it has more power compared to 970M

Ahhhhh! I just bought the "New Razer Blade" and a core in May 2016! Ya'll are killing me!

Super glad for the innovation but I wish ya'll had a site like Apple buyer's guild:

I didn't even see this coming outside of the announcement last week around laptop manufacturers adding 1060-1080's to their lines.

Side note: The Razer Blade 2016 that I just bought in May has been the most incredible laptop I have owned to date...
    • I can easily dev full stack (building games, sites and systems software) on it
    • All art (video and photo editing)
    • 3D modeling and printing are super awesome on the Razor Blade - the touch screen makes this experience solid
    • I've started writing my second book on it (totally beats out the i7 surface book - device I wrote my last book on)
    • I can game well on most AAA titles (Quantum Break, No Man's Sky, Doom)
    • Oh and I check the emails and the interwebs on it as well...
The only fault I have found in this laptop is the warranty - just a year. My Surface book and MBP had 3 years!

Frankly my little rant above is just an effort to make myself wait longer before buying another blade ;).

If you are teetering on pulling the trigger on a new laptop - this is gonna be the one! It fits every need I have thrown at it (even though mine does not have a 1060 in it - but the Core fixes that).

Are you able to pre-order this through Microsoft too or only Razer? I ask because of the awesome warranty you can buy with Microsoft.

Microsoft normally gets the Blade about a month after the Razerstore.

I'm guessing the FHD is an exclusive, like it was in 2015.
