For me it was Diablo 1
My first game i was seriously addicted to, to the point where no one could get me out of my room other then to get food. That game would be the Mass Effect Trilogy. Wouldn't leave my room for a few days til i finished the games
I don't know if addicted is the right word as I never stopped doing what I needed to do for a game, but one the first game I owned that had me thinking about it constantly was Syndicate.
Guildwars 1, I probably took a good month off of school in total because of that game
Mine would have to be Tales of Symphonia. I played it for 6 hours straight one day without realizing it.
First game I was addicted to was Halo 2.. then my brother introduced me to World of Warcraft... That was 9 years ago, I still play...
World of Warcraft. I had been wanting to play since it came out, but never got the chance. 7 years ago my husband got me into it. I haven't played I a year as I am just can't get into anything else. I have started to play again Skyrim and still on the hunt for a different game.
Playing do much WOW I would always start in my instant massages with the back slash key...
Dark Age of Camelot followed shortly by World of Warcraft. Hit those MMO's hard hehe.
This is going to sound lame, but tetris on the original gameboy was my first real obsession.
Pokémon Blue on my Gameboy Color
I think there were a couple I was really addicted to. So, it's kinda hard to pick one. I think one of my very first was Super Mario Bros 3. It was one of those games that I was just not happy until I was able to fully beat it. It is pretty nostalgic for me, but I really did find it addicting.
Mine would probably be CS1.6 or Pokemon.
Halo 2. Came out when I was a sophomore in HS. Had no friends at the time so I only played halo. Was really good too.
Very first game that I just HAD to keep playing was Sid Myer's Civilization. The original. Good god I spent so much time on that game because I just HAD to destroy the Aztecs. And the French. And the Mongols. And...well...everyone else, really...
This is going to date me but what the heck.
Military Madness on Turbo Graphix 16. I loved strategy games and didn't know it until this title. It was basically like getting to time travel and play advance wars 10 years early.
Honorable mention goes to Diablo 2 for compelling me to practically live with some friends the summer it released.
HAHAHA, I'm guilty of the /r on messengers!
Add me to the list
the best game ever made, d2.
Mine was probably Call of Duty United Offense (the expansion to Call of Duty 1). This was way back when the game was actually worth playing instead of the crap the franchise has turned into now.
