Razer Synapse

Hello all, After recently upgrading to Razer Synapse 4, I noticed that the audio quality of my Razer Kraken Ultimate headset has been completely ruined. The audio levels get to an abnormally high level to the point where the audio crackles and cuts out to a really quiet level before quickly raising its own volume and repeating the process. Raising or lowering Windows volume has no effect, the volume stays constant. After some digging, I discovered that the “Device Default Effects” setting in Windows Audio Settings were the culprit. However, by turning the effects off, it completely disables all the features that Synapse offers (I personally use a custom EQ for my headset, turning this off disables the EQ).  I tried going back to Synapse 3 to see if it fixed the issue. The issue was temporarily fixed until I opened a game. My volume became abnormally loud and everything started crackling and cutting out.  Does anyone know what is truly happening or have a fix for this? I’ve been using Razer Synapse on my Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed for years with a custom EQ.  Upon moving to Razer Synapse 4, I reapplied my Custom EQ settings and was enjoying it for a couple of months with the same exact quality of sound.  Yesterday, suddenly, the audio sounds completely different.  The equalizer (within synapse 4) is working, and even the custom EQ is exactly the same as it always has been.  I am always connected via USB, and nothing changed from yesterday to today.  (Bluetooth is always disabled on my computer, and still is).   The audio is quieter (~75% quieter), and I can no longer hear certain things in the FPS game I play.  (Like footsteps, or quieter sounds.)  I have never used the ‘enhancements’ tab, but just in case I tried toggling all of the settings and I know for sure none of those have ever been enabled, as it sounds nothing like it used to.   Is there a reason that this may have happened? Hey, Iam trying to design my Keyboard for the complex Sci-Fi MMO EVE online, there are a LOT of buttons to remember, with a lot of modifier keys, like pressing D is something completely different than pressing Alt+D. So I would like to really design a nice Color-Framework for the game. But Iam struggeling to find solution for lighting up keys in a diffrent color when you hit for example a in-Game modifier key. For example I want to have my Keyboard mostly Blue, but when I press (AND HOLD!) ALT, I would like to get most of the board dark and only light up like A, C and B. Or simply change colors of those Key. Unfortently I only found a solution to change the color of the exact key Iam pressing, not changeing colors of different keys... I assume there must be a way to achieve this, but I couldnt figure it out. Thanks in advance and best wishes! :)

Since switching to Synapse 4 I don’t get the low battery notification displayed anymore. All I get is the voice telling me “low battery” but not the percentage. Is it possibel to either the voice telling me how much is left or display the message on the bottom right of my screen again?

Hello all, Since using synapse 4 I've got some troubles with my profiles for minecraft Java. Normaly I add the Java file in my games and it works. But with synapse 4 it delete it from the game list after every boot of minecraft and when it doesn't delete it it put it graued out saying it doesn't find it.  Is there another way or do I have to roll back to synapse 3? Thanks in advance

Hi,I am using a Viper V3 Hyperspeed and Synapse 4. On-the-fly sensitivity function does not work correctly. It works correctly only in Synapse 3.I assign it to a side button (i.e. button 4 on the side) and then hold down that button. When I move the mouse wheel up or down, DPI status appears in the bottom right but:The bar is not visible and does not respond to mouse wheel up or down Mouse sensitivity is instantly changed to 30,000 and stays there regardless The Sensitivity DPI box shows blank even though it is at 30k This is extremely frustrating as on-the-fly sensitivity is important for FPS games. Any fixes on the horizon? Mouse firmware has also been updated to the latest version.   

Synapse for Mac is relentlessly opening the system settings, prompting me to grant it permissions that it has absolutely no business asking for.I’m using a mouse with no RGB lighting, so Screen & System Audio Recording is unnecessary. Full Disk Access? Seriously? That’s a huge ask for an app that adjusts my mouse sensitivity. I don’t even need Bluetooth access, because this mouse has a dongle. It’s one thing to ask, but when the app is open, it constantly pops open the dialog asking for these things, and if you focus the window, it will open the related pages in the system settings. It’s extremely intrusive.

Aside from the profile not automatically switching, even manually setting the profile as default results in it not working in the game. It keep using the default one.Anybody else experiencing this? Problems started appearing after following instructions to uninstall Synapse in regards to another issue. Double checked settings. Even did the trick of installing Chroma app to disable the apps. 

I was wondering if razer is planning to add their V3 pro to synapse web driver support anytime soon. looking forward to try it :D

Hello,I would like to report what appears to be a regression in Razer Synapse 4 regarding macro execution speed, compared to Synapse 3.I am using onboard memory profiles with macros created previously in Synapse 3.When Synapse 4 is completely closed, the macros execute instantly with no noticeable delay, exactly as configured (0 ms delay). After a recent update Synapse and Chroma the backlight on the device stopped working (only in visualizer). Everything else is working:I believe this is some kind of bug in the code.Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Hi Razer team,I'd like to request support for the Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed (model RZ01-04870100) in Synapse for Mac.My setup:- Device: Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed- Model: RZ01-04870100- Mac: MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon)- Synapse for Mac: latest version installed- Connection tested: both HyperSpeed wireless dongle and BluetoothCurrent situation:The mouse works as a basic pointing device, but Synapse for Mac does not detect it. This means I cannot configure:- Side buttons (Mouse 4, Mouse 5)- Middle click- Sensitivity Clutch (third side button)- DPI settings- RGB lighting- On-board profilesI see that Basilisk V3 Pro, V3 35K, and V3 Pro 35K are already supported. Could you please add the V3 X HyperSpeed (RZ01-0487) to the supported devices list as well? So, I’m obviously not the first person to say this, which makes it even more infuriating, but Synapse 4 is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a software in my life. I don’t understand how a supposed “upgrade” to Synapse 3 is STILL a broken and buggy mess this long after it’s been launched, when Synapse 3 worked perfectly fine. If I could, I’d just stay with Synapse 3 indefinitely, but of course, Razer is forcing everyone to switch over within the next few months. I’ll just start with the main minor inconvenience I’ve dealt with: Synapse 4 takes absolutely forever to start up. So instead of seeing the custom profile that’s stored in my keyboards’ onboard memory, I see the generic ugly solid orange, green etc., until I fully log in and wait 10-15 seconds. This isn’t the end of the world, but definitely an annoyance, because with Synapse 3, it was pretty much instant and even started up when I was still on my computer’s log-in screen. Hi everyone,A few weeks ago (I believe right after a Windows update), I started noticing brief mouse "stutters" during the first minutes after startup — it would happen once or twice, then stop, with no crash. I had never experienced this before.A few days ago, this escalated: the mouse stuttered, then both my monitors went completely black and the system became fully unresponsive — mouse frozen, no input at all. I had to force a shutdown via the power button.I checked Event Viewer afterward and found a Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (Critical) with BugcheckCode 0, meaning no clean BSOD or crash dump was written — just a full hard freeze. I also ran a complete hardware diagnostic (UserDiag) right after: 0 WHEA errors, 0 incidents, everything nominal on temps/voltages/components. So the hardware looks completely healthy.I'm on Windows 11 25H2, using a Razer DeathAdder with Synapse. I was using synapse 3, although it can’t open for long time, the profile still works. Then i upgrade it to synapse 4, the profile not work.Is there any way to reinstall working synapse 3 to export the profile or get the synapse 3 cloud backup profile?I cant find a working synapse 3 installer, and the one i have says cant connect to server :(

DId this update change anything in the Razer Chroma API?I may not be wording it correctly, but my issue is several of the devices I was lighting in my development project have suddenly stopped working.I am using Razer Chroma SDK for Unity installed from https://github.com/WyvrnOfficial/Unity_ChromaSDK.git and all WAS working well until this update.. Now I am only getting lights on mousepad, mouse and mouse dock. Keyboard, Seiren, Tartarus, Aether strip have all stopped responding to requests to light up.I think the problem might be in ChromaAnimationAPI, specifically ChromaAnimationAPI.SetEffectCustom2D(int device, int[ ] colors) is no longer working.To be clear, I’m not asking if the github repo changed, I'm asking about the underlying chroma service that this github repo would be interacting with.Can anyone confirm if this update changed this API?Is anyone else suddenly having issues using this API or lighting some devices?

I ran into an issue with Razer Synapse 4 not showing wireless battery percentage for 2 different wireless models. Both are listed as officially supported and backwards compatible with Synapse 3 and both had the same exact issue with no battery percentage displaying. I uninstalled Synapse 4 and reinstalled Synapse 3. BAM! I can now see all wireless mouse battery percentages. I attempted to troubleshoot with support but it took way too long to get valuable responses and I’m not interested in downloading a software log capture tool. Will check out Synapse 4 at a later date perhaps.I thought I’d post this for anyone who has a similar problem as all of the threads I’ve seen are requesting PM’s and don’t show a resolution status or troubleshooting steps.

Hi,I’m having a persistent microphone issue with my Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed when using Razer Synapse 4 on Windows.Environment Headset: Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed (wireless dongle, 2.4 GHz) Software: Razer Synapse 4 (latest version as of today) OS: Windows 11 (fully updated) Connection: Dongle plugged directly into the PC (rear USB port) Default input device in Windows: “Microphone (Razer BlackShark V2 HS 2.4)” Issue summaryWhen Synapse 4 is running, using the physical mic mute button on the headset causes my microphone input volume to be forced to 0 and it stays at 0 even after unmuting. In Synapse 4, on the “Mic” tab, the mic toggle switches ON/OFF correctly, but the mic input level slider stays locked at 0 after I mute once. In Windows sound settings, the input device is set correctly and the volume is normally at around 80. After the issue occurs, the Windows input volume also drops to 0 and stays there, as shown in the screenshots. Because of this, even when

Blackwidow V4 Pro and Synapse 4 installed.If Synapse is running and I run other certain apps, like a music streaming app, multimedia keys don’t work there and volume control stops working. As soon as I exit the music streaming app, volume control shows up reacting to the roll bar with significant delay. But sometimes it stops working at all. Only if I exit Synapse, it’ll be working.I tried all the steps proposed by support documentation, like rei-installation of the keyboard driver, Windows update and clean re-installation of Synapse, but they didn’t work.

Given the BIG AMOUNT of problems that synapse 4 has, specially with my Tartarus pro, I mistankely trusted on the new version Synapse 4 and now I MUST return to synapse 3 to preserve my previous functionality, how can I return to that version? I cannot see a place to download synapse 3 installer for windows, any ideas?

Razer Synapse not connected to the internet even though my computer is. That is making my mouse's macros not work. Of course it is hard to know for certain if that is the case but I don’t see anything else being wrong.
