I just bought the Razer Orbweaver Chroma Stealth and found out that the Chroma Configuration options are not available for Mac! Why is this not advertised on the website? I only bought the Orbweaver because of that feature. When will it be supported? Is it even in development?

Is anyone able to comment on this?

Yeah sure. Here's my comment: :hocho::apple:

Lol seriously though, the BlackWidow Chroma (which sells way more units than the Orbweaver) only just had its Chroma configuration released a few days ago on May 28 so I don't know when Mac support for Razer's other products will be released.
Well quite frankly, that's not a very good reason to buy a $129.99 gaming peripheral.
I think you're right - they should clarify these details on the product page, but please understand that the Razer website is currently undergoing an overhaul so a lot of things are changing. The product page doesn't even specify Mac support, if that's any consolation.

To be honest, it's called PC gaming for a reason. Apple and gaming don't exactly go hand in hand, and Razer is a gaming company, so it makes sense that there's a lack of support for Apple products. It's just one of those things that everyone knows or assumes. If you are unhappy with it, are you still within the return window? Maybe you can get a refund.

  3. Seriously, i wanted to use this for video editing on my mac partition, and am pretty bummed i cant mark the keys with colours. it works well, but its hard to remember what key does what without the colours. :slightly_sad:
i hope Razer do this soon... would be really great for snappy editing.

BTW i realized you can set up a full chroma customized Profile on PC - with the keys the colors you want.. then on your mac, just edit the key functions of that Profile (if you want mac specific keys /macros that is) - if you have a mac and PC at least.
simple fix for colored keys i guess.

How did you make it work? I tried the same thing... I set up the colors on a windows machine but when connecting to mac the chroma keys reset – the profile and shortcuts work but the colors are gone... I'd be glad if that would be an option until they release proper support.

@Raijin – the chroma configurator for BlackWidow chroma was released a year ago...

Oops, sorry my mistake. You're right. Seems like it was released in 2015. I'm not sure what I read before that made me think it was released recently. I think what happened was someone necro'd the thread and I read it thinking it was a recent post without even looking at the date.

  7. @dyb its really really hit and miss. the first one i did works perfectly, and now every new profile i make wont show the custom colours when booted into mac. yet if i copy and paste the existing profile that IS working on mac, (and change the colours to a different combination), that works on mac too. Im not sure if its something to do with syncing from the cloud etc, or just pure random luck.. im sorry i dont have a definative answer.. very confused.. maybe just keep trying every time you happen to be booted into windows, and see if one happens to work.

  8. ok its something to do with syncing - on windows, set your colours for your keys. then click on your email address (top right) and select "go offline". then go back on line. it should prompt you with a cloud sync option - choose the top box (sync from cloud, or something like that) i did this, and when i booted into OSX the colours showed up. dont know whether its coincidence or not, but that worked for me with two different profiles.

(and when you get it to work once, its there every time you use osx.)
