Maybe the CPU clock has affected the score, in this video of the Aorus Dt V6: , the score is similar to the new RBP. But look at this one with the Asus G701: the score is higher. The only difference that i saw was in the CPU clocks speed, DT V6 ~ 3.6 and the G701 ~ 4. 6700HQ bottleneck the gtx1080?

Loving it so far other than slight underperformance compared to x7 v6 dt but yeah I know Im happier with rbp than x7 dt tho

Any word from Razer on these benchmarks? For all we know the new RBP could be packing a 1070 and not a 1080. Also, have you guys noticed any light bleed on the panel?

Not yet , but nvidia control panel says it's a 1080. The fire strike score is low because of the CPU, it scores high in the graphics section. And nope haven't noticed any bleed

Which score did it get in the gpu section if I may ask?

Hey what settings are you running in nvidia control panel to get the best performance?

18400, is actually low now that I checked haha I think

yes it should be around 21,5-23k I believe

And I think the cpu is working just fine but what lowers the score is the gpu

Try to compare with firestrike ultra. In 1080p firestrike test i believe the cpu low clock's bottleneck the gtx1080, but in 4k firestrike ultra that should not happen.

I was literally about to click the buy button until I saw this depressing bit of information...1070 performance on a 1080 laptop with a $3600 min. price tag is just not acceptable. Just waiting to see if a fix is found or implemented by Razer.

  17. I too am very disappointed in these results. I was hoping to replace my 980M Asus slab but the performance and lack of a 120Hz screen is a real disappointment. I might draw people's attention to the fact that the bios as read by 3dmark indicates that this is a notebook 1080; that - coupled with the proprietary drivers - may indicate that this doesn't necessarily sit on par with an actual 1080.

The results I'm seeing on 3dmarks site places it squarely in the 980 desktop territory of performance. Quite a disappointment.

I would really like to see a revision of this notebook with the Kabylake or a higher performing i7.

Really wish someone from Razer would comment on this. At least let us know you're looking into it.

If we don't hear anything soon I'm going to assume that for whatever reason (probably the cooling system isn't sufficient) the performance of the GPU is compromised and the 2016 RBP will be stuck with 1070 equivalent graphics performance.

That's not the end of the world, I still think it's a great laptop, but this will be another strike against Razer's integrity. I don't know if I can spend $4k on a laptop with inaccurate advertised specs and numerous reported QC issues that could be a nightmare to return.

Someone should try running the BD-PROCHOT fix on the Razer Blade Pro. It fixed the Blade 14" performance issue and was actually implemented as an official fix by Razer shortly after.

    For those that don't know;

    Download Throttlestop
    Run it
    Disable BD-PROCHOT
    Save
    Click "Turn On"
    Run benchmark

If it works I want a cookie :)
