Orbweaver/Tartarus Left handed edition?

This has probably been asked before, and will doubtless be asked again at some point, but here goes anyway...

I was having a look at the Orbweaver and Tartarus, and technical issues aside (there seem to be a number of threads dealing with problems with the Orbweaver, the concept is one that I would actually make good use of as a gamer; problem is, as a leftie, that little oh-so-useful-looking-pad/joystick/analogue-stick, becomes utterly useless, and (I suspect) may even get in the way during use...

So, kind folks and devs at Razer (and most amazingly cool, beneficent overlord Min), I stand here (or kneel, if you would prefer) before you, with but one question on my lips... Seeing as you guys are pretty much the only game (hehe) in town who pay more than lip service to those of us whose paws are oriented more to the south, are there any plans to make a left-handed version of the Orbweaver or Tartarus at all?

EDIT: As an incentive, I am more than willing to part with a kidney if need be! Other organs are also negotiable too :wink_:

I second the idea and I've been looking for a right-handed version of keypads for ages!

I'm in the same boat, using a left-handed Naga. Just missing the keypad!

I totally agree with making a left handed keypad. Please no hate but I'm not a gamer. I use Razer products as a creative professional because they are reliable and work well. But one thing that is missing is a left handed keypad. Too bad there probably aren't enough people who want one for Razer to make it :frown_:.

No hate at all - you don't need to be a gamer to be able to take advantage of the tech that gaming devices bring to the table! I had a colleague at work who bought a first generation Logitech G15, because it gave him the ability to program Excel macros to the G-keys instead of having to remember other shortcuts. He got laughed at the first day or two, sure, but that stopped very quickly when they saw how effective it was! (What remained amusing though, was seeing the look on the manager's face when he was told he had to buy gaming kit for his whole department!)

I'm lefty too, and this sucks alot ;). The world is righthanded and we're in a minority, pity. Doubt for left version because there's not enough demand for such stuff. So we can only rearrange the keys or break our wrists while using WSAD :)

I shall remain an optimist though! And yeah, key rearranging is pretty much the norm for me, but even there, you often get caught, because some of the key on the right hand side of the keyboard - pretty much anything that isn't a letter - can't always be bound or used... The first two Batman games are brilliant examples of this, and moving everything one key to the left, then moves everything else out of whack and makes the whole experience very unpleasant!

The thing is, I have seen gamepads that a lefty could use on places like Amazon, but it'd be nice to know that we could also get something that fits a little bit better as well :wink_:

yes people typically use the keypad with their weak arm so it could be awesome if you can rotate it to fit your style

Yup - I have seen videos of people modding the Logitech G13 to use in their right hand, but I don't think it would be possible for these, if I look at the palmrest, and position of the left-most row of keys. Of course, that kind of modding obviously busts the warranty, so that probably means it will be a while, if ever, before we see someone attempt that with a Razer product :big_grin_:

On the same boat (and was actually going to start a thread about it before I saw this)... Please, please make it happen!
