It depends, it is just has customization with the lights. You get more colours. So if you want it to look cool and flashy, go ahead, but if you don't, then don't. Also, if you have the extra money to spend, go and get it just to show off your colours. I got mine for half price during sales, so I am happy with it. Insanely cheap :D

I think Mechanical keyboards are well worth the money however I don't think its worth paying the premium for colored LEDs it just too high for what you get. Looking at Amazon prices for 80 US Dollars you can get an Blackwidow Elite, the Blackwidow Ultimate for 108. Chromas are like 150-170 and for that price I rather spend it on a better upgrade on my PC than just flashy lights.

However if you got the money sure go for it

YES! It is so worth it to have it be Chroma. Especially if you have a gaming set up.
So mine is a nice blue to match my room and LED strips. Now compare that to just plain green. Buy a key board that you are going to use for your entire life (Aka until we can game without a keyboard).
  7. No, the abundance of software issues is just annoying and the Chroma Configurator is pretty bad in features compared to some other company's version.

Not to mention that if you ever have trouble with it, don't expect support. Expect someone telling you to turn it off and on again.

So far no issues with mine. Heavy use daily for work and play. Custom lighting are easy to configure from synapse. The feel of mechanical keyboard so much better compared to others as i have tried anansi and deathstalker. get stealth if you want it to be less clicky. Deifinitely worth the purchase for me imo.

Chroma is awesome. #ColorItUp . Chroma allows you to see what keys are relevant to you at the time and makes your setup look more flashy and cool. I will be ordering a new BlackWidow in a couple of days and I will be getting the Chroma version to make my setup look cool.

I posted this on another thread. Apart from the customizable chroma-lighting, I consider these the most notable things about it:

    • 5 additional macro-keys. Located on the left-most part of the keyboard. I personally use them a whole lot, but I feel it's more applicable for MMORPG's, RTS, or FPS.
    • USB, Audio-in and Mic port. This is located on the right side of the keyboard. I don't personally use this but, it's always plugged-in and handy if you need to plug-in any USB device w/o having to go to the back, front, or top of your computer.
    • Mechanical keys. They come in either "Clicky" or "Silent". I personally have the "Clicky" version. It just gives me a more tactile feel.

If you can live without those, maybe you're better off with another keyboard. Razer offers a lot of options. They can help you find the one that's right for you:

    Hope this helps!
