Kraken Pro is not a surround headset. It is a normal analog 2x40mm driver headset.

As long as you don't have Razer surround pro installed the Kraken pro are just normal headphones with a mic, however imo surround sound helps a lot especially for a game like cs go

Razer Kraken Pro is just a normal headset, it do not have surround sound. However, you may install Razer Synapse to enable the surround sound function. You also can turn off surround sound from Synapse.

Although all headsets work with Razer Surround (so I've heard)!

If you're getting surround sound while playing CS; GO then it's not the surround sound itself but the game. CS:GO is designed to be able to hear your surroundings even with basic headphones in order to hear the footsteps around you. It's just that gaming headsets emphasize on these more and make them loader and clearer so you know exactly where or a.k.a Surround Sound.
