I mean, doesn't it really depends on whether the game is CPU or GPU bound? I mean, i7 6700HQ is great and all, but according to cpu userbenchmark, it's still 5% lower than an i5 6500 desktop CPU on terms of benchmark.

Today isn't the day and tomorrow doesn't seem to be either. I don't think they will take orders and wait for a weekend then ship them. Probably it will be next Monday.

Lol im still confused on why the notify me changed, says theres IS a limited amount in stock. yet no email, no nothing except the obvious "tips" on how to conserve your battery, which in reality is just a segway to advertise a additional charger. : I

Dude, happened to me every time I relisted. Brutal.

I wonder if maybe they are going through the time/date stamps of all the "notify me" submissions they have received. If they are smart and fair, they will filter the list to remove redundancies as well as anyone who actually purchased a Core already. Then, they will send a custom order link to the first "notify me" emails and and give those people a fixed number of days to complete the purchase. For example, if they have 50 units and send out 50 emails, they might get 50 confirmed purchases, or they might get 25. If it's a sellout, then they could wait for more inventory and then repeat the same process. Anything less, and they can just move to the next x-number of notify-me emails and present the same offer.

Otherwise, they are just creating chaos.

I mean that would be the fair move.

Ugh... still writing. Hardly any sleep.... hard to concentrate... must.hit.F5!

I really hope they go up today, because I've had relatively little sleep the past couple of weeks with this journal work, and had almost none last night. Once I crash after work today (hooray weekend!), I doubt I'll wake up for a while. I just hope I don't miss the entire order whilst asleep like I did last time. =x

Here is something we can watch in between pressing F5. Solid review of the Core with a 1080, including benchmarks.

I don't like how he said for best performance to keep the USB ports on the core free. I'm relying on those ports big time.

I may be misunderstanding, but I think he meant to utilize the ports on your computer versus the dock if possible, so you can avoid tying up the TB3 channel with other things besides GPU tasks.

I doubt you will see any noticeable difference if you are using the ports on the back of it, regardless, though. If you do, just get a USB 3 Hub and use the port right next to the TB3 cable if you are trying to keep everything looking clean.

It is because everything flows through the Thuderbolt/USB port.

Cmon Razer sell me the damn Core! I am sitting here and staring at the 1080 in stock in Nvidia store and I can't pull that trigger cause I need to wait for the core.

Still nothing. No email or anything. Has anyone else recieved anything at all as far as notice goes??

Nope have not received anything. As someone posted earlier they probably wont release the core on a weekend when they will get swamped with work on Monday.

Yeah i assumed as much. Although i thought maybe there was a chance that they were trying to catch up with demand, take orders today, fill orders and start shipping them beginning of next week. Slow going :slightly_sad: just hope I hear something...

Last Monday I woulda put $100 on the core releasing last Tuesday or Wednesday...

Now I'd be willing to put the same bet on next Tuesday or Wednesday....but clearly I don't have good gambling instincts.

I've been thinking the same thing/in the same boat. I'm back to F5ing it... more like inF5inity, amirite?

... sorry for the bad jokes (I'm not sure that even qualifies as a joke)... still tired. Still F5ing... =[

The only logical explanation I can come up with this week's delay is that they had a larger than expected percentage of people that got the Core that needed help installing it. Maybe they're buying time to rewrite the installer to fix the problems people have run into so far?

I don't really think wild speculation is much use, but the crickets we hear from Razer are driving me mad.
