seems like a gigantic waste of time and effort. thinking about the system, it makes me sick. micro rewards. micro transaction. pay to win. paid DLC. its all no good. how many coins and rewards will just sit there and never get used. its like throwing a million dollars worth of gift cards into the sewer.

I'm curious, if this new system is easier, then why do you dislike it?
Other people spamming to get coins for each post (which personally, I doubt is how it will work) doesn't necessarily hurt you in anyway, and besides, it's not like there isn't still an anti-spamming policy/system in place already anyway.
Who knows, it might even be exactly like the old system, where if you make 100 posts you get a lump sum of points, which you can then apply to several different products of your choice. Which would actually be better since it's not just "oh you get this one specific model/color of headphones".

So what is 100zGold worth exactly?

Interesting, and it's cool that you can get free products too, though I wonder how slowly the Silver collection will go.

    It looks like about $1.00.

Heh well I guess I won't be using it for that for a long while then. If they roll it out to loads of other places then it might be worth it for the silver alone.

Haha, virtual currency. How did I know you'd be one of the first to post? Right up your alley.

Never used gamersgate but there seems to be more titles here, just choose "Razer zGold" as a payment type during checkout:

So for clarification, the 2 ways to earn zSilver right now are:
    1. Spending zGold (or real cash)
    2. Logging into Cortex/Arena
Does anyone know if this is correct?

    Thanks! Worked for me instantly.
  13. yes I believe those are the methods to earn zsilver currently, until they implement the rewards for insider. also u can get a one time 1000 zsilver for first game validated at arena.

Whoa, whoa! I believe I had the first post that linked the idea of the zVault and the Insider Rewards system. ;)

I'm wondering if Razer gear itself is going to be able to be bought using zGold. It looks as if 100 zGold is equivalent to 1 USD. If that is the case, would we, in the future be able to top up our zGold to the amount of a Razer peripheral, then use that zGold to buy said peripheral, and earn zSilver in the process?

Which is fine if you feel that way and choose not to use it - this is hardly a micro transaction but closer to a rewards system. There is absolutely no pay to win, DLC (not sure why relevant) involved in zVault.

You pay 10 dollars in actual cash for a game on GamersGate

...or, you pay the $10 equivalent in zGold to buy the same game, while accumulating in addition, zSilver that will build towards redeeming a free Razer mouse (and other forms of rewards).

If you're a gamer that buys games often, this is an extremely rewarding way to get more out of the money you spend. Adding to that are the plans we have for zVault as we move to bring in more partners that will allow you to spend with zGold and more rewards that you can cash in your zSilver on.
