    New owner of the Blade15 and had a few questions that I can't seem to find answers for on the Net, nor from Razer support.

    1. Does the new Blade USB-C support charging? Scouring the support manual that comes with the laptop doesn't net me any details, so I'm coming to you guys for help. This would modify my choice of monitor when the time comes to purchase one (soonish).

    2. Speaking of manual, I noticed that it states the Mini Displayport supported is version 1.3, however, the retail site states it's 1.4. I'm assuming its a misprint but it would be nice to know which is truly supported.

    3. Lastly, does the MiniDisplay port support Alternate Mode? I was looking at possibly purchasing a USB-C-to-DP cable and they specified that the device would have to specifically support this functionality. Again, not a huge loss if not but a nice-to-know kind of thing.

    By the way, LOVING this device; coming from a 6-year old Macbook Pro and I'm just tickled how well it is running. No major issues so far.

    I have to say too that touchpads have come a LONG way from my Alienware R1/R2 days; this one is a dream.

    Thanks in advance for any help guys.

    It doesn't charge through the USB-C, from what I've heard.

    I think it uses its own proprietary charging port

    Thanks for the response guys. I now the outgoing Blade doesn't charge via USB-C just didn't know if they had stayed the course on the new machine. I'm new to this site, so I don't know how often actual Razer support comment but figured I'd give it a shot since I never heard from anyone via email them directly. Often is the case that forum goers know more about the product's ins-and-outs than the engineers anyways :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: thus another reason for going this route!

    Official word from razersupport concerning #1 above:

    " the Blade 15.6" does not support USB-C charging. Reason is because the maximum charging input through the USB-C port is 100 W while the Blade 15.6" 1060 needs an input of 200 W."

    For folks looking at details. Hope it helps others.

    Official word from razersupport concerning #2 above:

    "I understand that you're inquiring about the version of the display port. Your suspicion is correct. The Blade's display port supports DP 1.4. If you go through the thunderbolt port + display port adapter though, it supports DP 1.2."

    thunderbolt port --> DP = 1.2 support
    mDP --> DP = 1.4 support
