    Hey all,

I've had the Razer Phone for a couple weeks now and love it. I just got the Oreo 8.1 update last week and love it even more, but I have one little sticking point.

With Oreo/8.1 we are able to manually choose from a list of Bluetooth audio codecs, I got a set of earbuds (RHA MH750 Wireless) that support AptX. I have confirmed that they do use AptX when paired with other devices; I have verified this with two Windows 10 PCs and a Pixel 2 XL running Android 8.1.

When paired with my phone, however, they constantly revert to AAC, even when I enable and attempt to "force" AptX in the Developer Options.

I was under the impression that this phone supports AptX. Is this a known bug/something that will get fixed at a later date, or am I missing some arcane setting change somewhere?

8.1 didn't add AptX.. It just enabled the developer options to manually select it. I've tested with my song mdrxb950b1 headphones and I have the same thing, no AptX support just SBC and aac.. From what I understand from my old 6p and roms, the files for AptX have the be included before you can use it and apparently razer didn't. If you are rooted or have twrp there are ways to manually install them, but besides that I think we are SOL

Ugh, sort of what I feared. I opened a support ticket asking a out this right after I made this post but haven't heard anything back yet.

I guess the reports that this phone would support it were unofficial.
