I recently got the overly configurable Razer Ouroboros, and I was wondering what you guys have for your preferences. EX:
    Sensitivity stages
    Which side panels you use
    Wired or wireless?
    etc.
Please reply with your configuration and great ideas, so that I may use them one day! Thanks in advanced for posting :)

I've been using mine since Cyber Monday (got it $50 off retail) and I use the little resty wing on the left and the other on the right, just for general stuff. If I know I'll be playing for a while I switch the left one because it makes you keep you hand off the pad and keeps it in control. Sensitivity varies from game to game and general use but typically 1800, 2400, 6300, and 450/800 for low sensitivity craziness in BF4. Wireless is wonderful but I think I may have messed up my battery, used to get 9+ hours continuous use now it varies a little more, sometimes I get crazy life and sometimes it'll die in 2 hours. But wired is wonderful just the same, if you have something keeping it from rubbing anything it's great but since it's braided it makes a little scratchy noise if it rubs anything. Have fun, it's an amazing piece of hardware!

Just to let you know, the battery inside of the mouse is just a rechargeable AA battery. You can use a regular AA battery but if you try to charge the mouse battery acid will come out eventually. The rechargeable kinds are super cheap, I would recommend ordering another one.

I use the rubber grip panel on the left and the wing panel on the right. The wing panel served as a finger rest. The rubber grip panel on the left can let my thumb to hold the mouse tight and my thumb can be use as a stopper.

My preferred games are RTS, MOBA & MMORPG, so I do not need the low mouse sensitivity. I set it fix at 8,200 DPI with my Goliathus control edition and it work fine.

At Synapse, you can set the battery level to trigger the LED of the Ouroboros to blink. I set it as 10% and whenever it start to blink, I just pull out the cable from the charging dock and switch it to the mouse. To prevent the braided cable from rubbing against your table, I will suggest you to get a mouse bungee. It is an excellent cable management accessories.

    Cheers!

i was drop dead lucky... i added the item to cart on the 11th and was camping the site and when i check out at the start of the sale i actually copied the wrong code (i used the blade code) by mistake and since the amount was right and i just paid... only realise that the code were swap later in the day....

    Order Date - 1/12/2015
    Creation Date - 1/11/2015
    Status - Order in Process

i think the demand for the Ouroboros was not as high as the Death Widow Chroma for example as i did check it out and the Ouroboros was available till many hours later...

***would have been disappointed if i didn't get it considering the time, effort and (lies) i spent in convincing the wife... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wings on both sides fully extended and Palm rest all the way up cause I have very long fingers.
Dpi sits at 4000 for me with 1800 being the next lowest and 800 following then 8200 highest.
There is a lock switch under the mouse that locks and unlocks the wing buttons on the left and right side (each side entire wing is actually 1 button) and that's a dpi at 800 for counter strike sniping.
Front and back silver thumb buttons are foward and backward web browsing buttons.
Always wireless and leave it on the charging dock whenever Not in use.

Very steady hands very large screenS and a very crowded desk. Last one is a great learning tool. Haha everyone has their preferences. More dpi doesn't make someone better or anything. In fact most professionals play with very low. Hope you find your comfort zone fellow gamer. =)

Actually, 8.2k dpi mouse is my way of locking my pc. No one else at my house able to use my computer ever since. *evil laugh* :D:D:D

Yes exactly! I used to have so little moving space for my mouse so it would always be on really high DPI, I know the feeling!!

I get the same thing with my family. My dad tries to touch the computer and its hilarious because he is almost appalled at how high the DPI is.

That's why my tactic is buy it without letting her know. When the item deliver to our place, then tell her "See! I got it for half price!" :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In terms of physical configuration, I like to have as less weight as possible. I think this habit comes from the fact that many "pro gamers" don't like the extra weight.

In this case, I think it is better you use it wired mode. Without the battery, the mouse got lost a lot of weight. lol
