Have obtained/saved alot of money to upgrade my gaming appliances.

Mouses/controllers/mousepads are all sorted... However keyboards are a big problem.

I love the new razer range, currently repping a death-stalker currently. However the blackwidow series looks both awesome and seems to have performance.

Problem being is... Loudness, Although the 'stealth' edition is sadly only available in US Layout (why?)

I game late at night in my apartment even my repetative mouse clicking causes echos on a 'silent night'

Will this keyboard add to the loudness? Is the stealth dramatically quiet comapred?

    Thanks all!

It's definitely loud, I'd say it''s double the loudness of a mouse click
In my opinion it is , but it's of course not as quiet as a membran keyboard. However you could get some O rings in order to make it even more silent

the non-stealth is very loud imo. even with o-rings its very loud. what layout version are you after ?. US isn't bad if you want english layout. i even had a french layout BW chroma for awhile. it was slightly annoying for special characters but didnt matter for gaming coz i dont look at what keys i'm pressing when gaming xD

On amazon you can get stealth versions of some BWs but if it is still too loud you could still get o-rings for your keys

Actually mechanical keyboard is one of the desktop keyboard. There are many kind of keyboard such as membrane keyboards, handheld ergonomic keyboards and etc.

The Clicky keyboard with green switches was actually designed to make noise, so if noise is a factor for you, I'd highly discourage you from buying anything with Razer Green or Cherry MX Blue switches.

Depending on how you type (do you bottom-out?), the Stealth versions (orange switches) can get loud too. Add O-rings to a Stealth keyboard and it becomes dramatically quieter than the Clicky keyboards.

BW Chroma: Has 5 macro keys on the left side. Lighting is optimized. Has USB and Audio pass-through ports. Matches other Razer peripherals (such as the Orbweaver & Tartarus).

BW X Chroma: Exposed metal design offers an alternative look. Has built in cable management. Easier maintenance. Smaller footprint.
